This is so moving. I'm super shy and really struggle with doing my part to spread the word of God and saving others, but recently I decided to share in the best way I know how as an introverted millennial. I started a Bible study journal this year, and heard God tell me "Share your journal, it does no good just sitting on your nightstand." Now, I post my personal Bible study journal notes to Facebook and Instagram for everyone to see in the hopes that it impacts someone in some way. One huge difference between saving people from the Titanic and saving people for Christ, the people freezing in the water would not pass on a rescue while people lost to the world often have no desire to be saved.

The common belief of what actually happened to the titanic and the reasons for the lack of passengers was because they were waiting to be rescued and not panicking. Ministering to atheist / past Catholics etc is hard. You often get a "I tried that already " attitude. People are often not open to new things, especially when they aren't looking for them. It's unfortunate that there was no mention on reliance on the Holy spirit for leading and guidance when ministering. No practical example of sharing your faith without being pushy, no mention of how to deal with rejection if it's a co worker etc. But it's a nice story telling, feel good message. Sadly a missed opportunity imo.

I like Joachim. I just don’t think this Titanic example did a very good job relating to the topic at hand. Sweetlittlealice1 said it well that his message did not address the real life issues that believers face when sharing the Gospel.

@@EphLife51516 I think it would help if they clearly explained the gospel to their audience. It’s usually just a very thin layer of icing on what is mostly a worldly message. People more confident of the true gospel and what that means for unbelievers will have an easier time sharing it. Also I think this message places a heavy burden on people to go out and do what is really entirely the work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of people. Some people plant seeds, others water, others harvest.
