Yeah I'm one of those people who got randomly recommended your first video on undiagnosed autism. You are awesome, I really like how you describe it, it helped me understand people a lot better. Also congrats on the baby!

I don't care if a video is edited, I love your content. Both gaming and other stuff. I am one of the ones that got it in my recommended feed and was interested because I was diagnosed with ADHD and I know people who have went half their life undiagnosed. I think I even commented on the video, anyways I hope to see more content from you in the future. And like I said, the editing doesn't matter to me.

Oh I was just searching for KZbin videos about high-functioning autism when I found your video so I don't think the recommendations are entirely random. My sister was diagnosed with high-functioning autism and I have ADHD so we're both trying to learn more about each other lol. It's hard for me to pay attention to a long page of text so I decided to search for videos instead and your video helped me understand a lot better. Btw you seem like a chill person and your voice is really nice. I hope you are doing well and good luck with the baby!

KZbin is suddenly recommending me random videos about austism and self diagnosing so I was a bit amused wondering if KZbins algorithm was trying to tell me something. Now I know it was just a random coincidence. Also I recommend not worrying too much about comments since normal people don't leave comments on youtube vidoes. Which is why less than 10% of the people who view a video leave a comment (this seems to hold true for like 95% of the videos I come across).

Yeah they are always looking for a deeper meaning when there is no deeper meaning, or they ask you a question and get offended when you tell them the truth " are mad that i broke your cup ?" " yes " , i mean who wouldn't be mad.

I loved your first video, btw. It's been a while since I watched it, but it's really good. Thank you for sharing your experiences. [EDIT] oh and I totally understand what you mean about neurotypical communication. My words get read into (I don't even know how or WHY), and I'm always so fucking confused when people talk to me. I hate texting in particular. It's even more confusing! People look into deeper meanings in text messages! Wtf??? I can't even grasp what's on the surface half the time. *help*

I think a lot of the people in the comment section giving you grief about the whole "undiagnosed status of your condition" are a very vocal minority. There are plenty of people who take to heart what you say and leave it at that, and it's only when a select few feel really put off by something they don't like to hear when you get to only listen to them. Thank you for the update, I think this will definitely help them :)

I'm not tryna jump on a bandwagon or claim anything that's not mine, but after seeing your first video (and my son being diagnosed with high functioning autism) a diagnosis of this for myself would make sense of things I did in my early life, and even now. I just find myself reluctant to get evaluated. Not sure why.
@LadyNasse
@LadyNasse 6 жыл бұрын
A lot of people feel that way. There's a lot of stigma against these kinds of things, and we have to unravel our own internalized biases. Good luck! :)

I'm currently growing up with undiagnosed autism haha great {fuck my life} I am sooooo ASHAMED of my lack of diagnosis. My Grandmother is a therapist with a masters degree in psychology. When she learned a bit about high functioning autism (Asperger's) she realized she probably figured out what I have. Counsellors and another mental health professional also agree. My parents, friends (if I have any uhh), and family all agree, too. I'm currently working through the steps to diagnosis. Please don't hurt me.
@LadyNasse

So aspergers =/= HFA. Aspergers was just a group of specific autism spectrum traits. Aspies could have varying levels of symptoms, same as the rest of us. :) And as I said, having a DX isn't a big deal.
@goodthings1641
@goodthings1641 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree. I'm just self conscious about it. I feel like I'm not real and I still don't know why I struggle so much. As for HFA versus Asperger's, I have all symptoms/criteria for both. I use the terms interchangeably, though I know Asperger's is no longer a diagnosable syndrome.

Since comments were turned off on your growing up video I’m glad I can comment here. I loved your dogs in your video and appreciate you putting it up. There are so many females, me included, that really start to question whether ASD is part of them or not. I loved the bit about sarcasm and texting... I use to use emoticons in my text after almost every sentence till someone brought it up and clued me in not to use them so annoyingly..I guess. 🤓 anyway you rock 😊

I got diagnosed with aspergers, having only some of the characteristics. I guess it just wasn't an accurate set of criteria to begin with. So did they just get rid of my autism? Hmm.. Anyway, I really can relate to the social difficulties you described, coupled with my anxiety it's even more of a fucking nightmare. It'd be interesting to chat with you, I think you seem like an interesting person (and that's *-not-* an awkward compliment at all) I'm theRPGmaster#0939 on Discord. Just gonna leave that here, on the off chance you feel like it. Just one more thing, I appreciate your videos! It's nice to just listen and relax for a while. That means a lot to me, and I hope you'll post more often. Never mind editing and shit like that, I have been editing videos for a few small channels, and I know how exhausting it can be. x rpg

Do you happen to know if you had a development delay when early in childhood? Like when you were a toddler? What age did you start to speak? My son is three and has high functioning autism and I am looking into how is it to grow up with that disorder. But my son did has speech delay like he started to speak at two. And after that, he only spoke in the third person. Now is getting better but he has still problems expressing feelings and understanding communication and he is also very literal. Thank you for your videos, these videos help me be more aware of this disorder and understand people better.
@LadyNasse
@LadyNasse 6 жыл бұрын
Somewhat, yes. I didn't speak til I was 3. I started speaking in full sentences. I sort of skipped the "first words" stage, and I had weird speech patterns and whatnot. It just took me longer to pick up on verbal communication skills than most kids, but I wasn't stupid and I knew what others were saying.
