Dried apricots are a common ingredient in Moroccan cooking. A chopped up couple of handfuls and finely dice one of those nice big carrots and some more rice will turn those 2 frozen meals into a nice meal for 4.

Nowadays box cereals are around 7-8$ it is crazy! I am glad you got some amazing fruits and veggies and classic pasta and sauce which are life savers

Thanks😊 Yes, I figure if I can get a box of cereal and some milk, that my $10 value back straight up! And everything else really is a wonderful bonus! The pasta and sauce is always so handy too. The fruit was especially good this time and so appreciated.

This is a very nice food pantry haul. We have a Chirch that has a grocery program and charges $30/trip. I'm tempted to go to see what they provide. Enjoy the rest of yourcweek! Happy meals from this wonderful food.😊

Hey Felicia😊 Thanks, yes surely is a great help. A frozen meal is meant to feed 1 person, but yes with extra cooked vegetables and bread I can stretch them to feed the family. Yes those apples are cute, perfect kid size! Have a great rest of the week too💕

Im getting those same apricots in my food hamper here in Adelaide 😂 Great addition to my kids lunchbox....im running out of ideas to switch things up for them in their boxes to make it interesting and half way healthy at the same time 😂😂😂

Yes those apricots are delicious😋 Perfect for lunchbox snacks. Yes it is a challenge sometimes with what to send, my standard is usually a sandwich/lunch roll with 1-2 pieces of fruit or veggies like cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and then some 'treat' biscuits/bar/muffin/bun etc. (usually from Friday's food pantry or what I can get at the food bank on Tuesdays).

Yes, it’s increasingly tough. Your videos are interesting and inspiring. Can you possibly do some videos showing what items you use from the food bank and what you turn it into for the family ? Love watching your videos from here on the Central Tablelands NSW. I still haven’t gone into my local food bank in town as I’ve been able to stretch what I have. Just made the initial contact.

@@makingendsmeet We got another surprise food bank delivery from our 20 year old granddaughter she got one for herself. She's in college close by 1&1/2-2 hours away and lives in a house with 3 other's. She lives in a big duplex and if the other side has problems she reports to the company's owners and gets it done. She works for a restaurant chain "Olive Garden". When first in college where She is she had 2 jobs here and the one there. She is going to college for something to do with voting rights. The 4 room mates just got back from Panama for Spring break. She knows enough Spanish to get by there and at the restaurant. We got a lot of produce and drinks we still had juice left so she took it. We had just been to get our Wal-Mart pickup so the fridge was full and the kids up there can use it. Wes got his licenses Wednesday he was in the hospital when they expired. He thought he would have to do the driving test but it was just the written one. So he took us to his pulmonary therapy and Goodwill today. So how are you and your family? I'm hoping you all are well.

I can't believe the pantry charges for the food. Here in the states all food is free.

Yes, many of the food pantries here are run by churches and small charities. I'm thankful for our local pantry and all their help with these low cost food parcels even if it means contributing a small fee. There is however also other food banks and pantries in Australia where everything is free, it just depends where you live and what you have access to. Here in SE Queensland where I am these low cost boxes of groceries seem to be quite normal. You're so fortunate over there indeed to receive it all for free, what a blessing that must be😊

The Moroccan pork looks nice! I hope it will be a nice meal for you. As to canned apricots, I think I have only had them in an Easter dessert where you have a base of a swiss roll, a dollop of cream and an apricot half on top. It is supposed to look like an egg and it is an OK dessert but not a personal favorite. I don't think I have ever made it myself, only eaten it when others made it. So other than that, I don't know what you use apricot halves for...

Nice in a Moroccan meal called taseen it has apricot rice sultanas and vegetables in it very nice

Hey Kathie😊💕 Thanks so much, yes was a great lot this time around. The loofah gourds, endive, basil and beans are going great at the moment. The Silverbeet (Swiss Chard) is getting bigger too. Most of the cherry tomatoes and the cucumbers are finished now. Am hoping to start planting some winter veggies on the school holidays.
