Glad to see you have missed your video's. I am in Middle Tennesseeand we had no damage from Helene but 100 miles from me East Tennessee got hit hard and the dam broke and its a very sad situation I have been watching all the people posting all the destruction and my heart breaks I have been having severe nightmares this last weekit has been rough and now we have Milton its so sad. Great pantry haul. Hope your house repairs goes well. Take care and be safe.

Love all grocery hauls. Best of luck with your Dad’s health & remodeling. I love boxed mac & cheese at times add the small can of Hormel chili to it. My son- in-law lost 60lbs on a low-carb Keto diet. The food pantry female in charge was very generous with you. Take care.

In fort Myers Fl , been through Irma Ian and Milton . Thankfully no damage this time around just had no power for 24 hours and all food went bad - and one window got a crack from a rock or something small. Praying for those who lost their homes . Many people including myself are questioning moving out of this state .. soo soo many hurricanes .

Lemon vinegar (made the same way as apple scrap vinegar) is amazing. You can also ferment your lemon peels in 2.5% salt solution and make preserved lemons for Moroccan style dishes.

The addition onto our house which is my husband and I's bedroom has to have a new roof on it, and the whole inside basically redone :/, and the whole porch is going to have to be torn off and redone within the next two years...the list goes on and on! I had been buying the Mt Vikos eggplant spread for a few years now. Over the course of about 3 years, the price went from $4.99 to $8.99! It will be interesting to see if the price goes down or if the stores will stop selling it. When it's on sale, it's only about $1 off the $8.99 price. I haven't bought it for a while. I would stock up on it in the past, and now I'm eating my last container. It's imported from Greece. I love it, too!

If you wanted to do something different, you could take those lemons, some sugar, and I think there is one or two other ingredients and make LEMON CURD to can. Great tart treat on a muffin, toast, pancakes, ice cream, cake, ect....

Another idea for the apples core a few and place them in a baking dish optionally with some brown sugar and cinnamon or pie spice or vanilla and eat them warm as a breakfast or desert. You could also do it in a crockpot or in a skillet with a bit of water for a fruit topping

Not personally meant for you, but all the ladies who read the comments. it’s breast cancer awareness month and I just had my first mammogram, and then my second, and an ultrasound, and I go in Monday for 2 biopsies. I’m 46, and I wish I’d gotten my first one at 40 when I should have.

​@weepingwillowhomestead I started getting mammograms at the age of 35. My mom and her sister both had breast cancer in 1995. Then I was diagnosed in February 2023. Had a double mastectomy the 14th of March 2023. And it was my yearly mammogram that caught it early. I was lucky that it had not gone to any lymph nodes or any other breast tissue. Just the mass they had found in my right breast. I elected to have both removed. This way I didn't have to worry about it showing up in the left one later. And I was declared cancer free after my surgery and the pathology on all the breast tissue and 1 lymph node was checked. The oncologist still wanted me to have chemo and radiation. But I told her no. Got a second opinion out of town. And that oncologist said I didn't need either one. The oncologist in our local oncology center. Treats everyone the same. She was mad I told her no. I also have known 2 women friends that died from breast cancer before they were 40. So I'm a real advocate for mammograms. It's good to have a baseline one on file.

Glad you are back!! We missed you! I was in SC that got hit by hurricane Helene we just lost power for 4 days and everything in our fridge and freezer and trees down but nothing compares to Western NC my heart goes out to those folks they lost homes, family members, whole families, vehicles and animals everything, they need and deserve prayers and support ❤

Find a urologist that uses tuberculosis to treat bladder cancer. My friend had bladder cancer 10 years ago. And the urologist she went to used tuberculosis to eat the cancer in her bladder. She had it done 2 times and the cancer was gone. And she got to keep her bladder. Then a couple of years later a little cancer spot showed up and they treated her again and it has never came back again. I know it sounds weird. But it saved my friends life. And her bladder. Alot of doctors don't know about this bladder cancer treatment. But please check it out. It's been around for more than 10 years.
