Pizza Swirls
Pizza crust dough (pg. 36 ACL cookbook) camphomeschool...
1/2-1 c. pizza sauce or marinara
1/2-1 c. cooked sausage (season with pizza seasoning) or pepperoni
2 c. shredded mozzarella
Mix up dough and let rise for 15-20 minutes. Roll out into a large rectangle, about 10x15. Spread sauce over, top with meat and cheese. Roll up starting with a long side. Pinch tightly to seal the seam. Slice into 1 inch thick slices. Place on greased foil or parchment lined baking sheet. Cover and let rise until doubled in size, about 30 minutes. Bake in 400 degree oven for 25 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and just turning to brown. Remove from oven and let rest a couple of minutes while you melt 1-2 T. butter and sprinkle in some garlic salt. Using a silicone brush spread the garlic butter over the top of the pizza swirls. These were very, very good.

1/4 c. mayo
1/4 c. melted butter
1 T. oil

1 Hour Bread
3 c. flour
1 T. sugar
1 t. salt
1 pkg. (2 1/4 t.) fast-rise yeast
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. milk
2 T. butter or margarine
Heat water, milk and butter to 125 degrees. In large bowl stir together 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Pour warm liquid over and stir with wooden spoon until well combined. Using some of the remaining 1 cup flour, dust surface; knead dough for about 4 minutes adding extra flour to make a soft dough. Do not add more than 1 cup. Shape into 2 loaves and place in small, greased loaf pans (about 6x4). Place loaf pans in cake pan with hot, hot water. Cover with towel and let rise in very warm place for about 15-25 minutes. Then bake in 400 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. Depending on how warm your house is this bread will take a total of about 1 hour to complete. If it's cold it will take longer.
