I also cooked up a wild turkey in the slow cooker and then pulled all the meat off the bone. Here are my resulting meals from all that meat.

When I open my freezer, whomever is here says:you have SO MUCH FOOD. But what they don't realize is it's bits and pieces to make meals but missing an important ingredient! I have to start doing what you do, make a menu of what I have, only shop for those missing ingredients, and start making freezer meals instead of little bags of small ingredients that have to all be thawed out to mix. I just found you the other day when another vloger mentioned one of your ideas. And I'm sure glad I found you. I have an autistic son and now a widow but I still have to cook. We vacationed in a cabin in Wisconsin for 22+yrs. Love country life. Thank you for reading this much!

Wild turkey is so good !!!! I think it’s so much better than the store bought turkeys ! I will take leftover turkey and gravy combine them and put it in a cake pan . Then I make biscuits and put them on top ! Bake 350 for 20 minutes or until biscuits are done ! So good . You can add veggies if you want !

If I could learn to eat like Maria I wouldn't have a weight problem. She is such a sweetie. I'll have to make some turkey gravy this week, I keep forgetting I have home canned turkey to use. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. I had my first Philly cheesesteak in 1950. The meat was sliced paper thin and cooked fast on a flat top grill. The roll was sliced open and sliced white American cheese was laid in the roll first. Then the hot meat was laid in on top of the cheese causing it to melt. Then a good layer of sautéed onions and last a few spoonfuls of red gravy. Provolone belongs in a hoagie. Cheese Wiz should stay in the jar.

Hi Jennifer, WoW Great looking meals. I will try that cream gravy. One of my favorite lunches at school was hamburger n gravy over mashed potatoes. I just use the brown packet gravy. BUT I am going to try the cream gravy you just made for it. Oh yeah, I made your peanut butter cookies and I did use all butter instead of shortening. They came out FANTASTIC. My son loved them too. Thank you for sharing all your dinners and meal ideas. I will try those egg noodles too. Huggs.

When I cook hot dogs or hamburgers I always cook the whole pack of dogs or 8 hamburgers. Then when everyone is done I put the meat on the bread and put them in freezer bags. That keeps me from having random buns around and makes for a quick grab lunch when hubby's running late. If I don't have enough meat, I'll make pbjs or French toast for the freezer.

What is it that makes us want soup in August??? LOL It's only going to be 104° officially on Wednesday. It's usually about 5° hotter out back. (But it's a pretty dry heat). So the plan is your Turkey and Gravy over ... something, maybe the baguette, tomorrow night. Right after supper, I'll turn the leftovers into a Creamy Green Chili Turkey Soup that I can just heat up and serve with corn chips and cucumber salad on Weds. You nailed the pronunciation the 1st time tuRmeric. Perfect. The reason you struggle with it is that so many people butcher the word. Thanks for getting it right. I really appreciate your channel and your unpretentious approach.

As it happens, you can correctly pronounce “turmeric” either with or without sounding that first “r”: TUR-mer-ik or TOO-mer-ik. The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language (5th ed.) gives both as standard pronunciations.

Hi Jennifer. Enjoy all of your videos and today was a great one with trying to figure out meals and what you have on hand to make a meal. Thank you for some great ideas and tips. We can always hear someone else’s ideas… much appreciate it. Had to laugh at the end with the little bit of food Maria had on a plate, kids, lol! Have a fantastic and blessed week.

Bread with no funny stuff aka peanut butter. Also, I just learned that the longer you cook your roux, the less thickening power it has.
