The prices do rise because flood/drought conditions change dramatically in areas around the globe. El Nino/La Nina disrupted the agriculture sector so much. It doesn't help that armed conflict has also disrupted the agriculture sector by trampling thru fields mainly to grow crops & animals also rely on silage produced (hay, grain) grown in those fields. Wheat, sunflower, other produce couldn't be harvested because the farmers in those regions were displaced because of the soldiers. Smh because the adaptability is put under pressure.

Reminded me of someone's claim about high fuel price won't be the end because Europe has the financial capability to afford fuel. That's true, but Europe buying up other source of fuels to supplant their own means other nations will struggle to buy. Sri Lanka had been the first on the block to fall. Thankfully price has cooled somewhat after the initial rush by European nations to fill their reserve driving the price up. The same can be said of food. The West sold and enforce globalisation on the world, but they themselves are creating waves in international market that became tsunami once it hits smaller countries. The energy crisis of the 70s hits the West hard, but the rest of world was not as energy dependent as they are now. While the West can contend with their expanding even if costly renewables or some domestic production if needed, most countries outside of the Gulf are dependent on import. The next resource crisis might sink a whole host of governments and institutions.

Why do muslim say they are fasting at ramadan, when they eat and drink early in the morning before the sun rise, and late in the evening when sun goes down? The are eating even at the night, muslim fasting is not a real fasting, they just turn the time for eating to night time. Just a thought.
@UltramegaMA Жыл бұрын
So what is "real" fasting? Muslims do not eat or drink anything in-between those hours from sunrise to sunset. You do realize that right? Depending on where you live it could be that they're fasting 10+ hours a day for 30 days or so. The meaning of fasting is to: abstain from all or some kinds of food or drink, especially as a religious observance. So perhaps you need to go do some reading to educate your thoughts.

14 hours fast IS A FAST, educate yourself
@luluah1198 Жыл бұрын
Of course it’s fasting we go without food for more than 10 Hours . The longest fast we have ever done was 20 hours I believe (Scotland). There are other forms of fasting for Christians lent . For Hindus . But in these forms of fasting foods and water can be consumed . Yet it’s fasting of sorts . Muslims can’t consume anything from dawn til sunset . That includes water. So I would argue it’s the most extreme form of fasting in any religion . Consider we do this for 30 days consecutively But this isn’t about im better than you, so why are you making it so? Grow up, just a thought !

Dolma doesn’t belong to Iraq. The word itself is Turkic meaning “stuffing” so if the leaf is rolled it is called a sarma meaning “a rolled thing” but if it is something like pepper or dried eggplant etc it is called dolma. The food is wellknown in every single country Ottoman Empire once ruled over.
@Orvvv200 Жыл бұрын
Iran and Mediterranean countries like Syria, Lebanon and Greece also had recipes for stuffed eggplant and rolled grape leaves.. Way before the ottomans ruled them. Some of them just adopted the Turkish name of the dishes because of the ottoman rule.
@Valstrax420 Жыл бұрын
Here comes the nationalist to claim something they don't even know about. The world existed long before the ottoman turks came along. Plus nobody really owns a dish if multiple countries all made the same one with no knowledge of the other. Dolma is basically like Sushi but instead of rice on the outside, it's on the inside.
@Ceylin_Kurtbogan Жыл бұрын
@@Orvvv200 that doesn’t make a lot of historical sense though and is quite in contrary with many other dishes our cuisines share. If a country had the exact dish before Ottoman rule Ottoman empire would have adopted it itself. As it did with many things from administration to cuisine. For example nearly all fish in Turkish are named after the Greek word. (Or cities even lol) Nearly all Meze or food like Lahmacun is taken from Arabic because these foods do belong to Levant. It wouldn’t be too realistic to have the food for centuries and change its names when Turks arrived since there was no policy of nationalizing food names within the Ottoman Empire in the first place.
@Orvvv200 Жыл бұрын
@@Ceylin_Kurtbogan Since our countries are extremely close to each other it’s not hard to believe that we shared some ancient food traditions, like stuffing vegetables. Unlike Iraq, in my country the name for stuffed eggplants and some other vegetables is not Turkish. We don’t call it dolma. I have reasons to believe that it existed in our ancient cuisine. But regardless I know that the way we prepare it today is definitely heavily inspired by the ottomans. stuffed grape leaves are called “Yaprak” in some areas in my country. And there’s also “Yalanji” (we use it for grape leaves stuffed with vegtables instead of meat and rice) The list for dishes with Turkish names is veryyy long. Especially for desserts. I know that a lot of the dishes in my country and our region originated in Turkey and spread because of the Ottoman Empire. I have a lot of love for Turkey and the Ottoman Empire. It has a very beautiful history and culture, it also influenced my culture and I feel a sort of closeness to Turks and turkey! But I think that the technique of stuffing vegtables existed in the region and not just turkey!

Bruh, if more than a billion of us commits crimes as you said, chances are, you would be dead since there will be a huge war. But the fact that you are still alive means that most of us dont like to commit crimes for our past times and like to just enjoy peaceful moments like you are. What the media feeds you is not what it seems. We love peace, but i guess the media has some sort of agenda to portray all of us as some sort of restless warmonger.

@@nedson6503 don’t think you understand the point being made here. Ramadan is not just about ‘feasting’ but reflecting on your faith, reading the Qur’an, learning about your faith etc. Nowadays people just talk about the food when that was never meant to be the spot light of ramadan

@@ThinkViralShorts It simply means muslims are getting secularized too. Basically loosing their religion. How do we know? Cultural Christians and Jews, who are in fact atheists, also celebrate religious holidays their own way - with food and socializing.
