Today we continue to push / explore the boundaries between eating disorders and food addiction. We speak with Dr. Anita Federici. a clinical psychologist and the owner of the Center for Psychology and Emotional Regulation in Midland, Ontario. This is Part Two of our talk.
She specializes in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders, personality disorders, and trauma. She serves an Adjunct Faculty position at York University and is a distinguished Fellow of the Academy for Eating Disorders.
From 2019 - 2022, Anita served as the elected Co-Chair for the Suicide and DBT Special Interest Group and currently sits on the Special Interest Group Oversight Committee for the Academy of Eating Disorders
Dr Federici has developed a robust training program as well as a wide network of allied health professionals. She also runs a treatment center in Midland, Ontario. Dr. Federici has authored over 375 peer reviewed research articles, book chapters, conference presentations and lectures establishing herself as an authority on eating disorders and mental health. We at Food Junkies are keen to see how eating disorders and food addiction may intersect in our population.
