I am under my 30's and I follow the same thing as a matter of food as I am too pure vegetarian but people around make fun of me that I don't enjoy food and you don't have much options as vegetarian. You are absolutely right! I have heard that many American universities have a mandate that kosher food needsvto be prepared in a dedicated vessel and not to be mixed with regular food. I was a hardcore meat eater but I became a vegan/vegetarian a few years ago. I have to admit that I thought pure vegetarians who struggled to eat outside in restaurants serving meat were strange and I would wonder why they can't adjust but I understand it now. The same empathy has to be shown in understanding that vegetarian food is a caste sanction and people who eat nonvegetarian food fall below in the hierarchy of caste and looked down upon. One can never know if the disgust is for food or for the lower caste practice of eating nonvegetarian food. Her practice of eating vegetarian food is familial based and caste based. Its not a simple discussion of veg or nonveg. Its about the sense of purity and pollution associated to veg and nonveg food respectively.

Because not everyone can take it up as their lifestyle. So, leave it to her, coz that's 'not just her choice but also a way of life' which is highly inspirational for every human being who wants to live consciously in accordance with the earth's well being. When I got an opportunity to tour Eu for approx. 1 month, i had pre-booked good hotels and wasn’t sure if I would be able to afford 3-4 meals at local restaurants for that long. I packed ready to eat meals (discarded the cardboard packaging) and dry Thepla. Thankfully, breakfast was included in all the hotel bookings and I was able to spend money on shopping/activities etc. To each, his own 🙏🏽

I am vegetarian and when i eat at any place with my non vegetarian friends they make sure that they are not touching the non veg food hands with the veg food, they are are so respectful. We eat together respectfully

A pure vegetarian is one who do not use animal produce like milk or flesh. How ginger garlic and onion consider as non veg and potato as veg. Here in India many majority population consume cow urine as religious activity/ custom.

Before saying any single word about her just think whether you deserve even to say her name......... I'm a non-vegetarian and I die for nonveg, this is the love that I've towards nonveg, but there's not even a single word that she has told that offends any ppl. Okay tell me one thing if you don't eat any animal for example cockroach or bats which other country ppl do eat and if the same thing is mixed with your food don't you feel bit uncomfortable with that? Just like that she do feel. Learn to respect ppl first.
