All became "stars" after putting in incredibly long hours and honing their craft. Do folks think people snap their fingers and a cookbook appears or that cooking a meal in front of a camera without SNAFUs and smiling the whole time is easy? Flay was cocky/friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, Ina was...Ina, Paula Dean just like her tv persona, Gordon Ramsey (one of the worst dinners I've ever had) nicer than on TV. Right! Mary Soto, a year before the pandemic hit I planned on retiring early so my older daughter could start college because she stayed home to be an aide to her sister so I could work, I also took out a part of my 401k to help me out until I could officially retire, but I told my daughter let's not tell anyone our business about the money. Well the majority of friends and family assumed we were broke and left us alone which was ok with me I enjoyed the privacy, now that we're kinda getting back to having little get togethers people ask how are we and how did we make it through the pandemic I just say we were taken care of and that's it. If people know you have money they'll think up reasons to borrow or help you spend it by inviting you somewhere hoping you'll foot the bill or hint at how hard of a time their having that cost money. I've learned that true friends and maybe some family don't want anything from you but your friendship those are the ones to spend time with because you all pitch in to have a great time.

The Food Network became popular because people want to watch chiefs cook … they are just people, not perfect like some of the people watching
@cindylamb21292 жыл бұрын
I watch cooking shows because I like to cook and try new recipes,not to watch so called chefs eat other people's food and act like it's not good enough for them.I only watch the cooks that actually cook,not those crap contest cooking shows.

Shame on you - this is nothing more than jealous people who hate other's successes. None of these Food stars claim to be perfect, none of us can. To hold them up to such a standard is nothing more than destroying and tearing down people and punishing them for their success. Sorry, but stories like this are little better than gossip - you know, those tasty morsels that go down so good, but end up poisoning one. The reporting of this is overplaying your hand. I felt terrible about Paula Deen. She did not deserve to have her career destroyed over thoughtless comments. Does destroying others make you feel better? Does it show grace and class to throw someone's mistakes in their face and dance gleefully while you enjoy your special role as judge, jury, and executioner? The cause of all these scandal stories is plain and simple jealousy - the green monster.

So they did all that to Ina ask her over and over and she makes time and then it just “ oh no , we’re over it” that’s so messed up. She’s not obligated to meet anybody. Specially in the middle of a book tour And other business promises that have been made. This makes me so mad
@annmcdaniel10922 жыл бұрын
I never liked her show, but I agree with you ! This was so messed up! Like you said she had many other obligations, and she worked around them to give the little boy his desire. His father had to be an a** about it and deny his son his dream because she didn't miss his rump instantly!!

Personally I am sick and tired of this “supposed” Asian discrimination. I have lived all over the world and this country and have never seen any of it. I live in an area with a lot of Asians and my daughter’s best friend is Chinese they were both some of the most popular girls at school. They spent the night in each others house and we took her out of town with us all of the time. I have personally NEVER seen the supposed offenses and am tired of hearing about it. And, if you are Asians you don’t have to watch the show where Whitey is cooking Asian food. Get a grip, grow up and grow set!!!!
