Oh, even earlier than that! Since they were taken over by Scripps in the late 90s, they went downhill faster than an Olympic skier. They dropped all the real chefs and started up with their plastic Food Network “Stars”.

That makes 5 of us and I'm sure there are hundreds of thousands of people who dislike him. I started by not liking him by just having a bad feeling about him but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. I saw how cocky and ruthless he was besides bullying everyone he can. Then when he cheated on his wife, that did it. A normal innocent person would deny it but no such words from his mouth. He's just an A_S!!!

Shouldn’t be surprised by bad behavior by chefs. Professional kitchens are rife with egomaniacal owners and chefs exploiting overworked employees under extreme stress, in dangerous conditions. With Ina, as an Asian, I saw a show where she did some food with sauces. She described one sauce as"Chinesey": I was offended- she should have said it a balance on sweet and sour with heat.- or something like that not "its Chinesey" You never mentioned Giada who had I believe a fling with Bobby Flay and the way she treated her stadd.

@@LyndieLouWho yes it's never too late to change for the better the negative path your never going to be happy and the positive path makes you stronger and happier because of the blessings we receive for the work we put in to be on that path. I've learned more in my older years because we were so sheltered growing up. I grew up lost and I didn't realize it until I had my daughter who was born with a disability, she brought God into my life, she technically doesn't speak but her gesturing and her own language speaks volumes. I rather live in reality than to be lost forever. Blessings to you Lyndie Lou Millerd.

Well you're absolutely wrong about them being hacks. Narcissists? I don't know a successful CEO, politician or artist who is not. I'm a cook and have eaten at their restaurants and spoken with them. All became "stars" after putting in incredibly long hours and honing their craft. Do folks think people snap their fingers and a cookbook appears or that cooking a meal in front of a camera without SNAFUs and smiling the whole time is easy? Flay was cocky/friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, Ina was...Ina, Paula Dean just like her tv persona, Gordon Ramsey (one of the worst dinners I've ever had) nicer than on TV. We loved eat at Casa Mono, Mario Batali's Basque restaurant - cozy, incredibly food and the one time he was there he was super entertaining yet always "teaching"

I have been so fed up with the Food Network ever since the "pandemic." I love to watch Kardea Brown, "Delicious Miss Brown." and Valerie Bertarelli. Ree Drummond is loathsome. Fieri for hours and hours. I'm glad my cable station has it where I can go back and watch my favorites. I also don't like the girl from Minnesota, her recipes are mostly complicated bs. Come on Food Network, you can do better.

Can we all just stop and give Stephanie March (Bobby Flay's ex-wife) her dues for being so gangster by hiring out the plane with the "Cheater" banner? Bad. Ass. On the whole, The Food Network is made up of trash.

Right! Mary Soto, a year before the pandemic hit I planned on retiring early so my older daughter could start college because she stayed home to be an aide to her sister so I could work, I also took out a part of my 401k to help me out until I could officially retire, but I told my daughter let's not tell anyone our business about the money. Well the majority of friends and family assumed we were broke and left us alone which was ok with me I enjoyed the privacy, now that we're kinda getting back to having little get togethers people ask how are we and how did we make it through the pandemic I just say we were taken care of and that's it. If people know you have money they'll think up reasons to borrow or help you spend it by inviting you somewhere hoping you'll foot the bill or hint at how hard of a time their having that cost money. I've learned that true friends and maybe some family don't want anything from you but your friendship those are the ones to spend time with because you all pitch in to have a great time.

Shame on you - this is nothing more than jealous people who hate other's successes. None of these Food stars claim to be perfect, none of us can. To hold them up to such a standard is nothing more than destroying and tearing down people and punishing them for their success. Sorry, but stories like this are little better than gossip - you know, those tasty morsels that go down so good, but end up poisoning one. The reporting of this is overplaying your hand. I felt terrible about Paula Deen. She did not deserve to have her career destroyed over thoughtless comments. Does destroying others make you feel better? Does it show grace and class to throw someone's mistakes in their face and dance gleefully while you enjoy your special role as judge, jury, and executioner? The cause of all these scandal stories is plain and simple jealousy - the green monster.

Personally I am sick and tired of this “supposed” Asian discrimination. I have lived all over the world and this country and have never seen any of it. I live in an area with a lot of Asians and my daughter’s best friend is Chinese they were both some of the most popular girls at school. They spent the night in each others house and we took her out of town with us all of the time. I have personally NEVER seen the supposed offenses and am tired of hearing about it. And, if you are Asians you don’t have to watch the show where Whitey is cooking Asian food. Get a grip, grow up and grow set!!!!
