I'm woundering where the water is coming from? Is it the pipes, the water heater, the water main, or from out side of the house? If you can post about that maybe someone from your KZbin comunity can come to your house and help you fix it.

Great video but please. When you get a chance, take care of the septic tank it is Unsanitary to leave it like that. And I'm sure that it has a smell when I was young. My mom's basement used to flood like that and feces used to come up from our bathroom It was so bad. Not saying that that's what's happening to your situation. So please don't misunderstand me and I apologize if I'm coming off wrong. I just know that when those things back up it's not a clean situation.

My Dr's have always encouraged me to eat legumes because they are good for diabetics as they are low in net carbs. However, I have type II diabetes, before my first pregnancy, I was a severe hypoglycemic who would often pass out because my blood sugar dropped too low. I live in a 850 square foot 2 bedroom apartment. I purchased 5 ince and 8 inch risers to raise the beds up to put buckets under. I use some buckets and put a vinyl tablecloth of therm and make them into "tables" in different areas for each child to have an art/craft or writing area. No one is any wiser because they just think I am weird and I am PERFECTLY ok with them not knowing its food.

I am enjoying your channel and feel I have learned. 🙂 Regarding what you were saying towards the end of the video, talking about "Perfect looking shelves or homes" I like that you are not putting down people (like me) that enjoy a overly clean, neat & well organized home and pantry. It may seem "perfect" to the outside world but for me as a child there were times I had to live in complete nastiness & unhygienic conditions that caused sickness and unneeded mental stress on several of us children. Therefore I over compensate and need to lighten up and not have everything in pristine order etc etc. So ... everyone has a story and I appreciate that you do not seem to judge and that I had an opportunity to share. You seem to be a wonderful wife and mother and an overall beautiful person. I am glad you have a channel. Wishing everyone a happy day.❤

Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your heart. I was in a similiar situation as a young mom of 4 . God is goòd and he had a plan for us, through my difficult years I grew very close to the lord and felt his spirit there with me like never before His comfort and loving arms were literally on me and it carried me through when I had no one. Gods kindness and love for us is real , people just need to open their eyes to it.

I’m glad you’re real! It does encourage people. I agree many homesteaders are unreal picture perfect. We had an older house when we lived in the country. The entire wall caved in during a downpour. We lived in construction for most of my married life. I agree you should save enough food for long term emergencies. I am concerned about botulism even for the pigs or cross contamination. Even one tiny bit could be deadly. It’s not always apparent. You do so great! Be encouraged!

Thank you for sharing even though I’m crying for you. I’m going through a very rough chapter in my life and it’s always good to be reminded that it can be worse, no offense. I’m one of those people that doesn’t have space for a lot of storage. I live in a 16x80 mobile home. I can’t plant a lot because the landlord won’t allow it. What I did plant last year grew beautifully but never produced so anything that I have canned is from food pantries or stuff I bought at the farmers market when I was able to purchase in bulk.

Hi Mama Bear! Thank you for your testimony, very moving. The Lord Jesus is so very good to us. I also have what I call my "overflow pantry." I don't can, except dry can with my food saver attachment. Things like rice, beans, peas, pasta. I totally agree with you, we need to be prepared with a well stocked pantry. I started building up our food pantry right before the big C hit. Having extra food has been a blessing when we are short on money. Thank you for addressing that everything you see in homesteading videos is not always as perfect as it seems. It can be very deceiving. Lord knows things are not perfect on my home front either. I was just telling my husband, our place needs so much work, inside and out. But that takes money, and with the economy the way it is, money is not always available. I am also very thankful for what I have. Love your videos. Take care sweet lady. - tammy⚘️⚘️

Your videos never fail to leave me inspired. God has blessed you with 14 beautiful children, and He will continue to see that they are provided for. You have been given the knowledge and ability to find ways to keep them fed and clothed. In addition, in so many of your videos you relate stories of extra folks joining your family for meals on the regular and how you share whatever you have with those who need a little help. Bless you. Totally off topic, I am curious about how you determine how much of each type of food you will need for each meal. I realize that so much of this just comes with the experience of cooking three meals a day, but you make it seem so simple. It is mind boggling to me to see you just go through the freezers and somehow know what and how much to pull out for meals, canning, or making freezer meals. Also, as your family grows, not only in number but in age/appetite, at what point do you realize it is time to increase the amounts needed? For instance, instead of needing say 3 pounds of meat or 4 quarts of something canned, that you actually need one more to adequately make an enough to go around? Just curious.

❤I have watched this video several times. I love how real you are. It's so important for people to see reality. There are very few of us who have the "perfection" shown in so many KZbin videos. You are awesome!

Thank you so much!! There’s nothing wrong with the perfection I think many enjoy that especially when is calm and quiet. Kinda dreamy to the viewer. I think it’s good to see both sides.

I think split peas are ok. Seems like I looked it up and no carbs. This is what google says: The high fibre content of split peas helps control blood sugar levels while lowering cholesterol. Moreover, the soluble fibre in this low glycemic food inhibits carbohydrate absorption, allowing glucose to be delivered slowly and evenly, preventing a blood sugar increase.J

I’m so sorry about all the water in your basement! I really don’t know how you do it all. You’re a much tougher person than I could ever be. I’ve never raised 14 children and had to keep so much food on hand. I grew up poor so I’ve always been a frugal person. I did the best I could with what I had and raised two children and even that was tough. Please forgive me. I never mean to be judgmental. I made a comment that was not meant to be unkind but now I know it was. I could blame it on my OCD but I won’t. Sometimes we forget everyone doesn’t come from the same background. You’ve reminded me that even though I grew up poor I was actually rich. I wish you and your family many blessings. I looked for a way to email you and found none. So please accept my apology in the way it’s intended and not in my scrambled up, poorly written words. God bless you! P. S. I’m not a troll. I’m just an imperfect person who has been humbled and asks your forgiveness.

Aww your so sweet! Its ok I appreciate your apologies. We all have different lives and different ways. Its hard also to have all your bad sides out on youtube. But I also know alot of "perfect" videos that in real life its definitively not so pretty. KZbinrs show mostly the good sides I want the good bad and the ugly. WHY? Because I want people to know that they don't have to be perfect there house, family, walk with the Lord are all there personal journeys. Most likely my comment was not even regarding your comment. Because honestly if someone is supper rude I block them right away. You are here :) Have a blessed day!

@@mommabear2many Thank you! I’ve seen how people nitpick everything apart on some people’s videos. I said I would never be that person. I think I strive for perfection in my own home and life and always miss the mark. It makes me feel like a failure at times. I think I’ve fallen into a trap of the devil expecting everything to be perfect. Guess I’ve watched too many of those “perfect” KZbin videos. I think I’ll start trying to more thankful and even though things don’t turn out like I want it to. God gives grace to the humble. Guess God isn’t finished with me yet!
