One big thing this really sheds light on is how common it is for the news - now and throughout history - to report on deals (and laws) that are still in progress as if they're set in stone. The "will" in those headlines is doing a LOT of work, and I recommend that if you ever see a headline with any type of future tense at all, treat it with a healthy level of skepticism. Especially these days, where some future tense is written as past tense, like articles titled "How X became the new owners of Y" where "became" is referring to something that MAY happen in the near future.
You mean like how Elon Musk was going to buy Twitter, but woke assassin's and death threats made him back out?

How they report on transfers for athletes really shows how lost they are for the real information. They report a player is "in talks" with 20 teams only for a team they didn't even mention to contract the athlete. It doesn't change much for much more important stuff than sports. Remember every time they predicted the outcome of an election? They did as much guess work as we do and got it roughly as right.

One small critique that doesn't really affect the rest of the video but I really wanted to say is that though measuring naval strength by tonnage is definitely more accurate than measuring by sheer number of ships, it is still far from the best way of comparing relative strength. In particular, how efficiently the weight is used can wildly affect the ship's tonnage without changing how effective the ship can be in actual situations. Merely basing the strength of ships by their weight can lead to misleading results and can get really complicated with how many factors influence the rankings. All of this is irrelevant at the end of the day since (spoilers) it becomes a mute point later in the video, but also because MatPat stated that he just wanted to compare using a "more accurate" method, rather than the "most accurate".
ya i thing the tunnage thing is to to be more accurant on the ''more ship= stronger fleet'' argument and not the actual strenght of the fleet like he said he wouldn't do at the beginning of the video

You should REALLY do a video on the history of Mtn Dew. Im from West Virginia and I've heard it was created to mix with moonshine, a very popular alcoholic Appalachian product. Or do a video on pepperoni rolls, a very popular WV baked good with hundreds of variations and I wish people outside of WV knew of.

So for a while I thought of the question where do I stand between Pepsi and Coke, and which do I prefer. My answer is, Either is fine, since I'm now more of a Brisk tea and Coffee guy, both sodas are just an option for me now. Also to be frank the small differences I noticed in each aren't deal breakers for me

Honestly, to solve an unsettled debate from a past biology class (so this is entirely out of petty), I need to know if ketchup can be qualified as a smoothie
@PBSpiralGamer2 жыл бұрын
The definition of a smoothie, according to google: "a thick, smooth drink of fresh fruit pureed with milk, yogurt, or ice cream." Ketchup doesn't have milk, yogurt, or ice cream. So, according to that definition, ketchup is not a smoothie

Which cookie retains most of the original flavor after being dunked in milk. And, is there any better way to eat cookies and milk? It it better to put a cookie in your mouth and drink the milk? My grandson pointed me to this video. I worked for Pepsi during this time and was close to these events. This is blown way out of proportions. It was never an actual deal, it was a pitched angle to two sides trying to trade in a time of restrictions. It was never seen as "warships", but just raw materials.
