I have to return to Okinawa. My favorite duty stationed while I was in the Marine Corps. MCAS Futenma HQHQ, there was a small restaurant just down the hill from MCAS Futenma that had the best Shoba noddles and chicken teriyaki. Shakeys Pizza, Taco rice, Goya Champuru, Teppanyyaki Kobe, Habu Pit and Chicken and Papa. Marc enjoy your Okinawa journey, it is life changing. The Okinawian people are so friendly and kind. They have the best diet in the world and the most people over the age of 100.

For a small island, Okinawa has a huge amount of interesting dishes. To have a guide is essential! Your stop at the market & the fish lunch on another video was fantastic. This day you certainly visited some other super foodie stops, not the least were the Izikaya & the goat restaurant. Great short tour of Okinawa, Mark. I'm so impressed with Micah, who occupies himself with games & drawing while your wife is filming! He also enjoys some of the food , I guess. You're raising him right!

I really appreciated this video. I was recently in Los Angeles with two iPhones and I was there to get a tooth extracted, so I was unable to eat at almost any of the amazing restaurants there. I did film a video of eating congee in my hotel because there were several Chinese restaurants that would deliver it to my hotel with a variety of meats or seafood or preserved eggs, and I also had fun eating Sushi and Oysters at a restaurant and Natto in the basement dining room in the hotel with a Japanese man who brought it from Japan. I love bitter melon, the Japanese one is much less bitter than other varieties. Also, FYI for anyone who is traveling to Los Angeles: If you order a soup from a Korean restaurant there on Doordash or something they send you a bunch of little boxes of banchan. One sent me 6 and one sent me like 20, I thought I was going to get a soup and I got bags of these little boxes of many types of kim chi, extra rice and noodles, seasoned seaweed, etc. Do this if you are in LA!
