Hi all, it's finally here - Part 2! This is all about the games. I examine several games closely for how they play on PS4 and PS5. This video also gives you a glimpse of what I've been playing or what I'm picking up again, or starting out on. Many of you regularly ask me: Britta, make a video of what you are playing - show us the games! 😃 Well, this is a way of doing just that, while also talking about the oh so new 😄 PS5. Hope you enjoy it! And it's not the end of the Journey. The Road goes ever on and on ...

@@Food4Dogs I had the PS4 version, and already had the Iki Island expansion when I upgraded to the PS5 Director's Cut version (£9). TBH, I didn't really notice any difference in graphics or FPS.
@piotrtrojanowski8453Ай бұрын
@@Food4DogsHi. The above is incorrect. Let me explain. There are 2 versions of Ghost of Tsushima on the PS4. The original release, with a coloured cover, and Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut with black and white version of the cover. The PS5 update is only for the Director's Cut which already includes the large Iki Island, unless the original release is updated by buying the Iki Island expansion, but as such the PS5 update does not contain any new content apart from slight graphics update, and the use of PS5 dual sense trigger features.

@@piotrtrojanowski8453 Hmm, I need to check that again, then ... my edition, as shown in the video, is the steelbook edition and is called "Special Edition". I *think* that's the Director's Cut version. Which would explain why I was able to get the PS5 upgrade.

@jfsps1525 күн бұрын
About Immortals Fenix Rising, nice game, maybe i'm biased there because i worked a little bit on Ubisoft Quebec (until mid 2019), didn't worked on this game exactly but saw it as QA like pre alpha, i think the problem is that the character does not have a shadow below, for example in the PS1 era, 90s, the characters had a shadow below them to show where is the player going to land, and the game has a more realistic shadows plus the camera centering is weird for a platform, but hey in 8:31 the grab helped a little bit, i dont remember if in accessibility there is a setting to make the grab more magnetic to the edges, or if there is a way to put the circle shadow below the character, im going to try to boot up the game this week to see if there is something to help a little bit to your experience. I think the game has a double jump but the setting is weird, it reacts by how long the player press the jump button, i kinda remember seeing a jumping method "Long Press" and "Press". Some tips that i've been telling my mother who doesnt play like 3d games (or games at all), is to try see if there is a double jump first, so that gives a little time to correct the landing, other is get to a platform where one can test the jump and then with patience try differents ways of jumping, for example for her is difficult to move the analog stick and jump, so she first jump and the it moves, so this helped her to get accustomed a little bit, and playing some Jumpling Flash (a PS1 game) helped a lot. About Ghost of Tsushima, there are 2 versions, the Directors Cut that had a DLC, available on PS4 and PS5, and the original version for PS4, the differences of both is that the Directors Cut it includes the DLC (PS4 and PS5 editions) and the PS5 edition has 60 fps mode, the adaptive triggers effects and really fast loading screens, in the case of those who have the original edition the upgrade is not just the PS5 Dualsense things but the DLC, so you will get the DLC plus the PS5 version and i thing a digital mini artbook, this game doesnt goes on sale very often :( but i think they are goint to put it on the 30th anniversary PS sales. Death Stranding is in a similar place like Tsushima, the Directors Cut have some new content, but this one is i think less than Tsushima but it has some map changes, mechanics changes, some shooting range mini game, a new piece of the story, a racing mini game. Didin't knew about Disciples Liberation, looks fun :) I Want Diablo 3 but i am afraid to get really attached, i remember playing the 2nd and the only way to stop playing it was that my HDD failed back in the day, and knowing that it has a Switch version has been my nightmare to control myself. About Elden Ring and Armored Core, a little info about it, the PS5 version runs not always at 60, but playing the PS4 version on the PS5 has 60 locked and it gets the resoultion always, but the PS5 has better resolution. Didn't knew that Persona 3 Reloaded had a PS5 Upgrade, the boxes in my country doesn't have the mark upgrade, thank you so much for showing it, i'm going to try to get it. A game i am about to give it a chance is The Last Guardian, it runs at 60 on PS5 if you don't update the game, there is a Guardians of the Galaxy game i want to replay, beatiful game and good story plus nice 80s and 90s selected soundtrack, and a Doraemon Story of Seasons type game that i've been wanting to play it that i coulnd't find the Switch version. The best community, i agree, totally, here is an special place :). *Edited the comment because i saw some errors on some words.

@Food4Dogs28 күн бұрын
It's really hard giving any kind of advice to someone you don't know. I'm afraid I don't really have any tips. I have always been someone full of enthusiasm for various jobs and projects throughout my life. Sometimes it takes an event that has such an impact on you, it's life-altering. This happens to people who, for example, lose a parent or other loved one; or experience a serious setback like losing their job etc. It makes you reassess what your life is all about. The one thing young people often don't really see is finality. Life will not just pitter patter along forever. I can assure you that you only have one Life, there is no other. Maybe set yourself some small goals. One a day. Look at *one moment* in that day - yes, just one short moment - and remember that as special. This moment, exactly as it happened, you will not see again. It was unique. And therefore beautiful. Maybe start with small things like that. And let them spread, like pebbles thrown in a pond.

I finde the whole upgrade thing kinda weird. Although that might just be the way the playstation systems are built or something. I hope the new Nintendo console works similar to the 3DS and it's upgrade in that regard where you just transfer all of your data to the other system and then just keep playing with no issues. I am only worried about my save data, but that will hopefully work out with a data transfer. Most of the games you showed us did not look fun to play but I hope you enjoyed them at least. Keep having fun Britta. I will also keep having fun. Because having fun in the hing that is important. I made Linzer Torte and Hazelnut Macrons/Makronen/whatever that means in English. Today was a good day. And my neighbors ate a whole peace of the cake while standing that they just wanted to taste and the other girl who would have gotten the rest of the slice still got her own slice. It was wild when they just started devouring the cake. But it was a really good recipe from my homies grandma and I am just glad my neighbors liked it. I am thinking of playing a bit on my Switch again which I haven't done in weeks. I only have to play like 3 dungeons in Harvestella and then I'm done. I hope I can finde some time to play this weekend. There is just never enough time in the day to do everything you want. I need more time. We all need more time. The days are always too short.

One of the advantages of the PS5 version of Ghost of Tsushima, at least for those playing in Japanese, is that it includes fully lip-synced facial animations for Japanese dialogue. Britta is pretty good at platforming.

I don't think so! 😄 But I can get by in many games, as long as they're not the super tough platformers. Also, I have to repeat many jumps; obviously I don't leave all of that in a video, that would be mind-numbingly boring LOL.

The only problem I have with the PS5 is that the upgrade from PS4 version is not standardized. Personally I've held off on buying a lot of PS4 games; especially if there's a native PS5 physical release since I do plan on getting a PS5 Pro. Until then I will stick with the PS4.

I'm getting a ps5 tomorrow and a few games silent hill remake so excited to play it and this game your showing in this video looks like a great game whats the name of it if you don't mind me asking. I played trails of azure trails of cold steel 12 and 3 and I was getting ready to play 4 when I saw that for some reason all my games that I had platinum trophies on and games that I was close to platinum had been erased and so my trophies were gone on every game I own for the ps4 and I don't know why it did that. It was fine until I down loaded trails of cold steel 3 and then everything went downhill it's weird but it's OK I'm playing all my games over again and getting everything back to the way it was. I enjoyed them very much so it's sad I won't be able to finish the series cuz I don't want that to happen again. But I'm treating myself to a shopping spree tomorrow and buying a ps5 and a few games and I've been wanting one ever since they came out so I'm excited. I platinum tales of arise and I was so happy the day I platinum trophied that game but it's OK I love that game I'll just play it again and platinum it it wasn't hard to do. But god of war ragnarok is gonna take awhile to platinum I was 90% on my way to platinum that game when my ps4 was like yeah she doesn't need these trophies let's just erase them and she'll have to start over on every game she owns lol I own over 100 ps4 titles so yeah not happy but I'm half way getting things back to how they were just upset I won't be able to play trails 4 reverie and the new one that just came out I'm so sad I can't finish playing the series as I had so much fun playing the ones I did play. Anyways just excited about my ps5 and games I'm getting tomorrow. If you have any game suggestions for me I'd love to hear them leave them in the comments below thank you and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day take care Sincerely,Heather Lynn ❤❤❤ you'll enjoy fatal frame i own the first 3 for the ps2 and they are so good. Have fun playing I'd start with the 1st one the cuz all the story is connected to all the FF games. Also if your gonna play supermassive games like the quarry you should checkout their other games like until dawn(best game ever) little hope,the devil in me and man of medan and house of ashes they are all really good but until dawn and the quarry are probably my favorites in the collection imo the Witcher 3 is phenomenal as well really long game but worth it.

Good luck with your purchase! This is the first time I've heard of trophies being 'wiped' on such a scale. That's frightening. 😬 I have experienced trophy 'disappearances' myself, though, with several games and it's really annoying.

I also got a PS5 this Black Fryday and I bought Baldurs Gate 3. It was originally released on PC but my PC can't run it. Try it. the PS5 port it's very good. It even has mods and that's really rare on consoles. It's a turn based rpg. It has a Japanese Physical copy but in Europe is very scares so it's very expensive. I couldn't find any under 120$ so I bought the game digital for 60. It also has a collectors Edition but I couldn't find any and if the base game is so expensive I could not imagine what the collecter edition price could be. Do you think the PS+ subscription is it worth it for someone who doesn't play online games and only play RPGs
@Food4DogsАй бұрын
I'm glad you mention BG3 bc that is one game I certainly have been anticipating to play very much. I was wondering about how good the PS5 port is? Specifically, how is the interface for all the controls? Yea, physical copies are now impossible to get hold of. I'm waiting for a sale on the digita front. The price on the PS Store here is eye-watering. PS+ ? 🤔 I personally only have the "Basic" PS+ sub, and that's mainly for the cloud saves tbh. That's my lifeline, so I pay for it. If you play mainly single-player RPGs, then your profile doesn't indicate that a PS+ sub would be very beneficial. You do get access to many games ofc with a sub on a higher tier. But that can be deceptive. You can't play all these games (impossible). So for my money, I prefer to spend it on individual, carefully chosen games which I then have/keep in my Library. Games on PS+ come and go (just like on Xbox GamePass).

If you like Disciples Liberation look at Disciples 1 and 2. Those are over 20 years old games so they work on any PC. Those where masterpieces at the time and honestly are still worth playing. If you like similar games Kings Bounty the Legend and Armored Princess are also really good(It got as sequel 2 years ago but is not that good) and Heroes of Might and Magic series is a classic(Especially 3 and 5). In the early 2000s where released a lot of Western Strategy turn based RPGs and because those games the story is told by chapters it's easier to play 10-15 minute at a time.

@@ratiuvictor9533 Yea, I've got my Steam and GOG library piled full of older classic RPGs 😃. I have sitting here on my desktop: King's Bounty Warriors of the North; Disciples Gold and Disciples 2: Dark Prophecy and Gallean's Return, also Rise of the Elves; Daggerfall Unity; Spellforce 3. Much more in the actual libraries! Armored Princess I do not have but can easily add. Heroes of Might & Magic .. yea, I think I have one or two in my library but haven't so far played them. I see just now on Steam there is a new game coming! Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era Ofc it goes into Early Access first ... I'm not overly fond of that practice. I know why they need it, but I'd prefer they get the game ready, do a time-limited beta test and the release!

@@Food4Dogs I am currently playing through Baldur's Gate III on PS5 and I am absolutely loving it! Definitely one of my favorite game to be released in recent years! I found the controller implementation to be overall very good. You can access your repertoire of actions via a selection of customizable dials which works very well most of the time. However because the game is optimized to allow for maximum player expression, it can often feel a bit cumbersome or not extra smooth especially for some traversal situations/puzzles, though that is not exclusive to the PS5 edition, just made a bit more obvious through it I think. Though in return controlling your character on the closest camera settings with the joysticks and the minimal HUD that comes up when playing on the controller makes up for some pretty nice immersion! Menus are otherwise pretty straightforward and functional. The game still has some bugs, nothing too major, mostly some minor audio issues in my experience, but nearly everything I encountered could be fixed by quickly reloading a save (even a new one) or sometimes even just the area. Only bug that I still have is the portrait of on one of my companions that isn't loading properly, which is just a minor annoyance to me. It's such a massive game I wouldn't expect it to be flawless, but most accounts I've heard of talk about a very smooth experience. On quality mode the PS5 version is running on the highest PC settings at a very solid 30 fps most of the time, which is perfectly fine for me. Some frame drops can happen in case of loaded area or multiple explosions going on at the same time (😅), but nothing to ruin the experience especially with such a slow paced gameplay. I found the performance mode to be a little too soft looking on my display, so I went for the resolution setting and have not changed it 200+ hours in later. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys turn base or tactical RPGs! ✌

I don't think you should have to pay to upgrade to the PS5 version, even if it's only 5 - 10 dollars more. You've paid for the new, more expensive console, so you've already paid an upgrade fee. The one game that really annoys me is Persona 5 Royal having no upgrade option at all. You have to buy the game again to get the PS5 version.
@Food4DogsАй бұрын
Ah, I haven't even looked at P5 Royal yet .. I didn't expect to see an upgrade (some games are outside that time window, really) and I'm perfectly happy playing it on PS4. But! Many/most people ofc haven't got a PS4 any longer if they upgraded to a PS5. So that's a messy situation. Surely they should be offered a steep discount for re-purchasing the PS5 version of P5R ..?

I went with Xbox this generation because I didn't care for the size of the launch PS5 or the design, plus in my country the price of games plus tax is very high and GamePass was a much better deal for me. Despite getting it late in its life I really liked the PS4 though and still buy games for it because they are more affordable and I missed a lot of that generation. I would like a PS5 one day but that shape and size is just so awkward to me. I love the design of the PS4 and PS4 Slim/Pro. Maybe if the PS6 is backwards compatible with PS5 as well as PS4 I will get one. I love my Switch as well but the performance issues make it difficult to choose the Switch version over the Xbox Series or PS4 versions. Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes is a good example of that. It runs very poorly on Switch so I got the Xbox version and it runs wonderful on that machine. Maybe if there is a price drop on PS5 next year I will get one just to squeeze some more life out of my PS4 library. I don't have too many PS4 games but I enjoy the ones I have.
@Food4DogsАй бұрын
Waiting for the PS6 is an option I had seriously considered. In the end, I decided it was worth it for me to upgrade to PS5 (only you can decide whether it's worth it for you). I actually made a video about how I got my Xbox (3 years ago) and how it was the size of and design of the launch PS5 that put me off getting it! 😄 Even the Slim is still an awkward beast. However, if you can live with having it vertical (I know .. took me some time to warm to that), it actually isn't too bad at all in terms of space needed. It's just rather tall. We also have the Switch 2 to look forward to!

Upgrade if it offers DLC or if it has a lot of loading screens. I played Skyrim for the first time in years in my Thanksgiving break, because the 360 disc broke and it was on Black Friday sale, I was amazed how much faster loading screens Edit: or if really colorful it will make them pop even more
