If I were Chantal, I’d be upset that my husband said it was hilarious that I had so much trouble getting into/out of a boat. Our family friend is a wife of a Syrian. Before the war it was customary there to help weman. Like a random man would bring a chair for her to sit on while waiting in line etc. And it was pretty much expected that men would help.
