I agree that juice must come from a fruit, therefore Mauby is technically a tea, ice tea

It’s pretty cool watching how different Caribbean countries prepare Maví (Mauby in Puerto Rico)! My question is do you guys let it ferment (like beer) too? The addition of bay leaves is also new to me.

I like to say drink - mauby drink. I don't like the taste of aniseed in my mauby, and I brew it after it is cooled and put it in the sun. Nice drink!

Go to the Caribbean store, they sell it packaged, with everything in it, all you do is boil and sweeten to taste.
@donnaedinboro16163 жыл бұрын
You must visit Queens or Brooklyn to get some bark.

This recepie scandals our traditional Caribbean Mauby. Mauby made the real way is indeed a beer. This guy does not know the basic ingredients to making authentic Caribbean mauby. What about the ginger, orange peel ect? Vanilla extract??😅 This is one of the poorest mauby recepies i've come across. This is actually flavoured mauby bark iced- tea, Trini style. The young lady is non the wiser. My advice to this novice would be to research the St. Maarten recepie and learn how to make real mauby. Genuine mauby is all about select ingredients and timing. Best of luck!
