I'm so glad you guys got my package! The book is about how to identify the medicinal herbs of North America. We even have our own species of wild ginsing! The cinnamon smell came from the Atomic Fireball candy. It was probably a slightly inappropriate candy for an American to send to some North Koreans 😂 Also, please disregard the mean comments, they are just noise. Focus on all the good comments!

It sounds like, by the context of the comments, they're Korean comments being made. I can't fathom a context in which someone American would say that. South Koreans certainly have a reason to feel a little more hurt at the people of North Korea, even if they're victims as well. That being said, you seem like a sweet person, Kathy!

I think most people especially most Americans feel sympathy and outrage that an entire nation of people are so deprived of love and basic human comforts and will want to share any joy and love they can with those who have been oppressed and abused. if it were allowed and if I had the means I would send such a parcel to every child in North Korea with the current political situation in North Korea I believe that they would simply confiscate them all

I think you got a lot of people deprived of love & basic human comforts in the US, too. As the german dramatist Heiner Müller put it: "The US is the world's richest poorhouse". @@hotsauce1556 I think what was being taken issue with is you saying that everything on earth deserves to be loved. If you live on such a binary emotion of love everything, how can you properly form you own thoughts or set your own set of values. There beliefs, behaviors and even people that a person decides they don't blindly love but rather in fact take issue with because they find them immoral. His comment had nothing to do with saying that this individual wasn't a kind enough fellow worth loving. It was about how you acting love is a binary world cure all is only a platitude that naive and not mature headed about the world's nature.

Kelly your comment was very thoughtful and kind. You are right that these young men teach us about caring for others too. I have 4 books by North Koreans that made the difficult decision to escape from their country. I'm so impressed with the courage and strength that each of them showed to choose freedom over communism and to leave family and friends to go to another country and start over. Not easy for any of them to do. I'm happy that Kim Hung Yoo and Jung Hanuel are now living free in South Korea and wish them the very best!

I think part of the reason everyone wants to show so much love is because we hear the stories about how your life was and it is shocking to us. We take so much for granted never even thinking about how someone else may never have had the chance to experience it. It makes us grateful for what we do have and want to share it with others. We like to see people smiling and excited.

I just found your channel tonight, and i have been binging! By far the most interesting content, as its subject matter is one we dont get to see very often, if ever. Even being from the US, i dont completely believe what we have been to about north korea, mostly truths but theres always some propaganda when info comes from any government... especially info we cannot readily verify, ( and in 2021 is even harder to separate fact from fiction lol). Definitely enjoying your channel! I am very happy you both made it out of there! Its humbling to say the least. Americans are so spoiled that we dont realize how lucky we are, and that goes for most of the world too. Its important for us to realize this and really appreciate where we have been blessed to be born. I often see North Koreans who have defected, apologizing for how they thought of us. There is absolutely no need for that. When you have been taught something your entire life, with no outside information to compare, you are not to blame and should hold no shame. If anything everyone else so be humbled. I definitely appreciate you sharing your life. The world needs to know the absolute truth, and continue to find ways to inform those still in NK that they are welcome. I hope very soon there can be a peaceful way to bring freedom to all. Honestly, i am hopeful. Keep up the great work on your channel! Im a fan! Much love from the US brothers. I look forward to the future videos.
