332 pounds of pork? -Please get your facts straight.

I should say the people complaining here about the pronunciation of Copenhagen are not complaining about him not getting the local pronunciation right, it's that quite a few Anglophones "hypercorrect" themselves thinking that they should pronounce it as German sounding as possible, presumably thinking that this close to the Danish pronunciation. However, in Danish it is called "København" and we don't expect any foreigner to call it by that name when speaking in their own language. Just add a "C" to the word "open" and then "hay" and finally "gen" as the last syllable in "again": CO-pen-HAY-gen

" thinking that they should pronounce it as German sounding as possible" - and not understanding just how insulting it is for most Danes to be lumped together with the Germans. Kind of saying that the Finns and Russians are the same. Or speaking Russian to an Ukranian.

@@mochtegerndane7097 It's not insulting or offensive in any way. Our language is in fact germanic and does sound similar to german in many ways.

@@DKFX1 I KNOW the difference between Danes and Krauts (as my name here says). I have lived many, many years in Germany. So dont start brown-nosing the Germans....they fucking hate us and despise us. For them, we are "die dummen Dänen" and "untermenschen".

wait.. what? 332 pounds of pork? 😅 I know pork is popular in Denmark, but danes "only" eat on average ~115 pounds of meat (not only pork) per year...

I was also wondering about that - as in my cirkle of friends and family we are not even close to consuming ½ a kilo of pork pr. person pr. day... Which this amount almost is...

You used to be able to get really cheap "caviar" here in Denmark. And a snack a lot of kids would get is a hard boiled egg. Cut it half. The youlk removed. The hole gets a dullop of mayonaise. And then filled with the cheap black caviar.. tastes so good.
