Slightly expensive their meals and kanji when compared to the other small restaurants, but Arippa at Palarivattom has a nice ambiance and a good service. പാലാരിവട്ടത്തെ അരിപ്പയിൽ ആണ് ഞങ്ങൾ പോയത്... ഒരല്പം വിലക്കൂടുതൽ ഉണ്ട് പക്ഷെ നല്ല അമ്ബ്യൻസ് ഉള്ള ഒരു ഹോട്ടൽ. കുഴപ്പമില്ലാത്ത ഊണും കഞ്ഞിയും റാവുത്തർ ബിരിയാണിയും.

One day, I was feeling to eat my lunch outside, and Arippa was close to my office space. I used to get many requests to visit Arippa (in M G Road, Eranakulam) from Food N Travel friends, but I never knew that they have something near the famous Palarivattom Flyover. That day we tried their Mamanga Sadhya and it was good. We requested their permission to shoot on the next day and decided to try Chatti Kanji and Rawther Biriyani.
Hashmi was happy with Rawther Biriyani (they only have Beef Biriyani). For me, I liked Mamangam Meals over the Chatti Kanji.

++ To hv hopped right back in 24 hrs... surely this place must have been exremely pleasing. Again the resurgence of "Kanji" a) to a mighty stand-alone menu and then b) to stately presentations such as this, clearly is legendary ! Haven't ever tried this and I guess its a must do. And Hashmi's poser even opened up my understanding to the two distinct versions - the cold n hot versions ! Didnt quite realise that possiblity ! ++ Boii..you went into rogue mode when u chucked the spoon for hand (Kanji) dives..and then into total beasssst mode, biting into those intimidating green-bombs...! Made me turn my face away..grrr ! All said n done, Arippa gets a listing in my books. Thanks fellas for this outing ! Cheers !

Bro when all this social distancing is over, you got to go over to lulu mall and try fish biryani over there. I forgot the name of the stall, but they actually have biryani better than thalassery over there, when I went to thalassery I was disappointed, they don't have good biryani like they did inside the mall in kochi.
