I enjoyed working as a dishwasher for a couple of restaurants. A fair share of a workload. But it keeps a person In shape. It gives time to think. Too bad it's a job that has a negative stigma.

For me who has been hired as a dishwasher. This is the easy part. But I hate being the guy who has to hand clean the extremely gross pans that are burnt to crisp. I’ve bled quite a bit lmao

@@1kiroku328 Yes, it can get yucky! But it's stress free. You mostly work alone. It's a good job for thinkers. I spent my shifts day dreaming about my art work, projects, future goals...super job!

@@1kiroku328 Yay! I'm so happy you see that job for the good or better aspects about dishwashing job. I have a diploma in something great. But believe it or not, I didn't end up working in my career.Because It had become too high stress. So I took dishwashing job at a Chinese diner. It's one of The best jobs I ever had. Plus my Asian bosses are amazing. I broke my arm. So can't do that job now. My dream was always to be an Artist. With my time as a dishwasher, my Goals are coming true. Stand up, defend your job. I know a lot of people think bad about our job. Tell them why you like it. :). Maybe more people will want to be a dishwasher!. I ❤️ Dishwashers. Xxxoo

Note that this is one type of commercial dishwasher and there are many other styles. I use a conveyor dishwasher at my job and it's actually not tall enough to use that type of sheet pan rack so we just have to lay the pan flat on a regular rack and it works fine.

problem with this job is that the faster u are the less people theyre gonna hire and the fastest guy would get 3x the work cuz the boss knows he can do it.

Just cleaning out the catch basket is not proper daily cleaning. Removing wash arms/rinse arms, mesh tray holding catch basket and plunger and then scrubbing and spraying inside out and flush down the drain. Reassemble and leave open to air dry.

True I do and only me with four chief they are all time rush and from the restaurant dishes come as well. Kitchen is very small and no have much spaces . I hate this job but don’t have another job

I'm working a school cafeteria which has a lot of the same equipment as a restaurant but in that case I do other things besides just wash the dishes.
