Aiming for a better immersion and tabletop experience, I would also recommend the following mods: "Aether's Hide DC" by Aetherpoint and "Hide Turn Order" by Fahadbh. Ty for sharing your mods. I'm using some of those too

You need the Mod Fixer. If you are using ImprovedUI (which is needed for any of the Character Creation Mods to be visible to use) it needs the Mod Fixer to work properly. Patch 1 added a partial recompile, but ImprovedUI needs a full recompile which is what the Mod Fixer does.

I do think the improved UI mod is still breaking the game re: the dice rolling bug. I could be wrong, if they've fixed it or not, but that was definitely the mod that was keeping me from being able to roll. Thanks for all of these mods tho! I love watching these compilations to find new mods to download!

I had that issue and updated the mod and it seems to be fixed for me! You do have to have modfixer though to make it work properly!

In regards to the mod fixer, any character you start after patch 1 definitely does NOT need it, regardless of what mod/s you install that state they require it (I've tested this a lot). Where it gets a little foggy is with characters/games that you were already playing before patch 1. For me, to make things easier, I still use it. It doesn't throw up any errors and I run a LOT of mods :)

There have been others who have mentioned that the "fix" got rolled back with the micro patch we got the day after patch 1 and it's still needed. There's been some screenshots of a discord post explaining it going around mod pages to better explain it. Then on the modfixer page people have mentioned they can't start a new playthrough without it but current play throughs are fine without it. So honestly it sounds a lot like it depends on the mods you're using and your set up overall as BG3 modding is still fragile in a lot of ways! My best advice to anyone trying to mod BG3 right now is to test out what works for your specific set up and read up on the modfixer page especially as so many people are very new to modding that are modding BG3 currently!

I think staying on top of reading the posts on the modfixer page, as well as maybe some other popular mods that might address the situation, is the best way to stay up to date. I've seen tons of contradicting statements about starting a new game with or without the fixer, as well as loading previous saves with or without it. It does seem there's a lot of inconsistency with answers right now. Hopefully we'll get some consensus soon

Depends on if the mods you use need a full recompile or only a partial recompile. Patch 1 added a partial recompile. Mod Fixer does a full recompile. If you have mods that need ImprovedUI ReleaseReady then you need Mod Fixer. ImprovedUI mod author stated their mod needs a full recompile which is triggered by Mod Fixer.

let me just say that respectfully the best BG3 mod by MILES is the Native Camera Tweaks mod, which allows you to change camera pitch and easily see the entire world as you do in other RPG games

I want an addon or mod that just spams dice on your screen on every single attackroll etc its literal the best thing about dnd, the gambling addiction, i want to see all the rolls FISICALLY imagine playing monopoly and not knowing what you roll nor see the dice, its such a good gaameeee i want it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish someone made mods regarding the characterization options - or, the lack of them, tbh. I would love if we could change our characters appearance anytime we wanted, like almost every single game out there allows you to, like hair, tattoos, scars, etc. Also, one that could change our visual, like, we could select a visual for our armor or weapon, just like we have in diablo 4 - you can for instance use a legendary weapon, for example, but having a completely different one as your visual. These are two things that I miss so much in the game, specially the first one :/ for me, the characterization in general is so weak

Just install the script extender and you don't need to deal with the "mod fixer" at all. It also activates achievements for modded games without needing to install anything else.

I generally don't like to install bigger things like a script extender until I need it, so for now mod fixer totally works -- however it's nice to know when the time comes to install it it'll take the place of modfixer as well!

@@FoodThenGames it's not any 'bigger' than mod fixer or the native mod loader that you already installed. It's just a .dll that goes in the same folder as the native mod loader.

What happens when there's a patch? Do the mods automatically break until they get an update or does it just depend on what was changed in the patch?

Some mods are fine, some need an update! Usually modders are good about patching or letting you know if it needs a patch/if it doesn't so I'd check in on the mod page to see what's happening!

Your missing a whole lot. With the WASD one, u can install the better camera one that lets u freely look around. Aswell as the basked full of equipment to camp clothes. where it changes basket to camp only.

I tried the Camera Tweaks mod and while it was fun, I still personally prefer the vanilla camera which is why it isn't included. And I featured Basket Full of Equipment in my last vid, but prefer it as armour as I like have separate camp clothes vs. camp clothes for the same for out in the world and at camp! So it's not that I missed anything, just different preferences.

I only ever used Vortex during EA and now full release and have had great luck with it so far!

I believe for everyone to see that your clothing is all black they would but I'm not sure if they'd need it otherwise! You could do a quick MP test run to test it out!

I've had bad experiences with modding and then not being able to play with friends because they didn't have the same mods and ended up having to jump through hoops just to troubleshoot and be able to play together. Some mods have it built in like Basket full of equipment so if you use that you should be good! Also you could try this version: www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/141 as that's what most are using currently!
