Thanks for another great vid! Just learned this trick and have two tips: one, the steeper the diagonal angle of the cards when you're first asking to be told when to stop, the easier the glide. Two, if you get that angle nice and diagonal, the glide needs to be a confident, firm push with the other fingers- too tentative and you can mess up...

I did this trick last night on my friends but instead of having them pick out the card and placing the coin on it, I did. Then when I removed the coin making them pick up the card I had selected randomly, it just happened to be the card 3 of Diamonds. No marked deck, I didn't shuffle the cards they did, 1 out of 52 madness!!!

I know this isn't the static straw bit, but while fairly inebriated it was the one fall back bit I knew I could pull off. After a concert we went out to eat and soon enough people weren't talking about the concert anymore. The restaurant started paying attention which lead to a much larger crowd than intended. turns out I remembered more than a few more illusions which kept the crowd going. long and the short, thank you for teaching me some sweet scams to entertain the entreated

i do this trick with a mind-reading cover and a joke about thumbing through and no one has catch-on yet. it's awesome i got 3 girl to do this to and the mind-reading lets it get uncomfortable to them when i say some crap about looking past the eyes and into the mind and that makes it so much better. Thanks keep it up so i can keep getting chicks (to young to drink next best thing)

I figured this out right away. Any good magician will figure this out before you even finish the trick. Forcing cards is so predictable and easy to see if your actually a good magician. Just fooling people isn't the point. It's all an act and magic requires more emotion than just doing a trick.

"Fool Magicians" was a little misleading. Not only did I see the force, but I don't consider myself to have been fooled if I know there was a force. I don't care how creative it is, a force is a force. Knowing you didn't select your card kinda kills it.

It will work because if you notice he forced the card away from the cards he is separating really as long as you don't completely close the deck you should be fine it's all on the way you sell it just be careful with wording and the way you perform the trick itself.

No! I mean if after the first "Stop" People saw the force card which for e.g is the queen of spades then if they want to redo this procedure and you ended up with the same queen of spades they would know.

Well I believe that that's why when you're doing the trick you keep the cards face down until they confirm the stop I mean they can't just take back what they said half way through the performance. So just make sure to keep the cards somewhat hidden. I may not be that good at explaining but I hope the comment helps.
