Manny, I grew up not far from Chula Vista (near Spring Water Reservoir) until we moved a bit North of Temecula my 8th grade year. I totally get the chollo/cholla reference. It’s basically all that’s around. I’m not Mexican but had lots of friends that are and they’d make fun of it.
