I love this technique. I've been looking at my bookmark molds and thinking this would be a beautiful idea for them. Thank you for sharing all your talent with us.

Pretty little textures, reminds me of the bottom of the sea, the coral.

I LOVE these, such intriguing patterns! It's very mesmerizing. I would love to try this, if I ever get the equipment to do resin casting, which is definitely on my to do list! I will definitely be using your videos to help me!

Your a genius Louise what a great idea I have loads of coasters that have gone wrong stuck in a cupboard or at the worst put in the bin and I have racked my brain with ideas of what to do with them and came up with nothing !!! Your so talented and such an inspiration thank you so much for sharing xx

I used to do wax painting with an iron and loved getting fractals from lifting the iron different ways. I've done it a couple of times with really thick paint when I was painting on MDF and card, just playing about. I'd forgotten what fun it is and doing it in coasters that haven't come out how you want is a great idea!

These came out so neat looking. To me it looks like fan coral pattern, or inside of a leaf, the chambers it has. Thank you for sharing. The long skinny ones, could make a bit thinner and make bookmarks out of them. Do that when trying new things and would probably get some cool ones, that might not work out for a larger card. Just my rambling thought watching you do this.

I was going thru your videos and came across the fractal one. You showed cutting the plexiglass. You had trouble with the ruler sliding around. I was a picture framer and we had a ruler with a very thin piece of cork glued to the back. This kept the ruler from sliding. It didn’t change how you could measure or cut. Thought this might help. Always love your videos.

Thank you so much Patti, that was very thoughtful. I think you can buy them with cork on the back, I shall have a look!

So I have a confession, yikes. I watched your 2 previous videos & then forgot to comment. For those 2, I was going to say (yes, I can still remember as they were so involved) ~ You really don't do anything by halves, do you? The amount of time and work that you put into your pieces, it's incredible!!!😲 The last 2 especially had me holding my breath in parts. Phewee, Louise?! I am very sorry not to have said at the time😔. These fractal creations are such a cool idea, a relatively quick make but with results that are sure to make people ask "How did they do this?" I'm pretending that I didn't hear you tell us about throwing other coasters away.🙉 Lol.... Hope you are well. Ty as always for sharing your ideas and creativity! Brilliant. Take care. C👌👋🐾🐾

Could you do that with two flat silicone molds or mats ? that would be cool if you could make a sort of fractal-lace effect.

This is really interesting. Does the paint react like this because it’s the plexiglass? The plexiglass isn’t sticky or absorbent with the paint? Really beautiful!
@LouiseSingletonCreations4 жыл бұрын
Lenore Robinson thank you. No it would work with anything with a similar surface like tiles or glass. It’s amazing isn’t it, it fascinates me. The plexiglass is smooth just like plastic -which is basically all it is.
@lindafrier16154 жыл бұрын
Very good idea! Should the plexiglass ones be sprayed with a sealer?
@LouiseSingletonCreations4 жыл бұрын
Linda Frier thank you. If the paint side is going to be on the outside it would help to spray it with varnish but I found that the paint stayed on really well without it. I would say it’s optional. If I was making something that would take wear and tear then I would definitely seal it.
