I've watched your video twice and I'm not even ready to start a project! You have created an amazing technique that allows the design of natural-looking geodes, rather than a geode made on a piece of wood. Fabulous! Thank you for sharing your talents.

Very pretty Louis, love your experiments. I would have never thought to make a geode surface with clay. This turned out beautiful. I have some tiny shells, I was thinking about doing a geode with some of those to be different. You beat me to the experiment. 🤣🤣🤣

Amazing!!! Beautiful! Don't worry about taking to people as if they were seven years old. Most seven year olds are more emotionally stable and capable of figuring things out without being told every step of the way. These people think I'd they use the same brand of paint, brush, etc that you have used it will suddenly make them an artist too. I can only imagine how many times a day you are asked, what type of this did you use? What brand of that did you use? How long did you wait. As if there aren't instructions on the boxes etc. Most people need to be spoken to as if they were two. Anyway, it looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much, it is a wonderful tutorial, not only do you make it easy to understand what to do, but why things need to be done at different stages. Last but not least, I want to have a go at making one right now! only problem - waiting for delivery of resin. xxxx😊💖

@alisonmary14434 жыл бұрын
Great idea, the edging is perfect. Loved watching the resin and colours do their thing when you moved the paper over it, the shell is the cherry on the cake. nothing like looking at layers of resin with colour and bits in it. It is freezing here 3 pairs of fluffy socks and a wool scarf on while watching this 😄 Thank you 🌸

Thank you such an informative video honestly the best one I've ever seen. This piece came out absolutely stunning. You know what else I noticed all the texturing techniques you used would be great for a tree trunk If you look at the outside of the geode that texture if it was a lot thicker would look just like a tree trunk I'm definitely going to try this geode piece but I'm also going to try to make a tree trunk.

What a lovely comment, thank you so much. It’s very easy to narrate your voiceover afterwards. All you need is a microphone and some video editing software. Do you have a video editing programme yet? I have two, on my iPad I use LumaFusion (it’s very good) and on my pc I use adobe premiere pro but there are some decent free downloads available. Once you have the software you will see a microphone icon so you simply click and speak. I hope that helps. Thank you for watching and good luck with your videos x

Thank you so much for the video. Your geode is lovely. I wonder if you could just use the clay as the substrate for the geode. What do you think?
@LouiseSingletonCreations4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. You could do that but it takes longer to dry and I think for a piece that size it will be more fragile.
@manisha-colorcreativityartwork4 жыл бұрын
beautiful ! usually base is resin or mdf wood for geode resin. you have added one more base to resin. A query pls, can POP plaster be made as a mould for geode resin ? for example, after you remove modelling clay, is it possible to remove POP plaster from resin after resin set? else can you experiment on making POP mould , maybe for a simple resin charm etc ? pls
@LouiseSingletonCreations4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I haven’t tried to use POP for moulding but my thoughts (though I could be wrong) are that it wouldn’t work well. There may be something you could coat the POP with so that it would release from the resin but I think it would be difficult to separate the two pieces without causing damage.
