To me FK is invaluable. There are two times where a run goes kaputt, special disablers at inopportune times and mixed hordes where elites throw the team off and even chaff can become overwhelming. FK can deal with both situations exceptionally well by sheer alpha male energy. Press a button - which is ready on demand - and Chaos bows down to your superior mustaches.

I have used full stagger footknight with executioner sword for a long time, it's my go-to build when I don't want to think too much. It feels so good to stagger plague monk with a light attack Opportunist op btw

Yuk exec sword fk :D kidding. If you enjoy that playstyle go for it. It's just a better weapon on gk (cause he can counter its weaknesses by using another weapon to mitigate) and merc (mitigates weaknesses through better cleave). Fk has other weapons he can use better than those 2 like shields, bretonnian longsword (ironic i know) and mace/sword (though gk is probably better with it again due to weapon swap)

Brett long sword is the best on him, much more diverse, and has similar stagger cleave properties as the great hammer. Synergizes well with the extra stamina as well. Attack speed is also not as important as well so if you stack power on your charm and weapon you can stagger chaos warriors and still keep the 60% block cost reduction

For Mace & Shield, I highly recommend spamming Push Attack - Light 3 - Light 4 if you don't have Swift Slaying active (and even if you do). Not just do you get a push off, but all 3 of these have Linesman and come out very quickly. Surprised this wasn't mentioned, it's the best horde-clear combo for Mace & Sword, and only gets eclipsed by Heavy spam at extremely high attack speeds where you're going to be consuming too much stamina with the Push Attack combo. I really recommend doing Push Attack - Heavy 2 - Heavy 3 with the Spear & Shield, the Push Attack doesn't actually do much damage at all, it is just faster than Heavy 1, the juicy damage is within Heavy 2 and Heavy 3. Just doing Push Attack - Heavy 2 might feel snappier (and it is worth doing if you need the stagger) the Elite DPS is quite a bit lower. With the Mace & Shield you can do Light 1 - Light 2 and then spam Heavy 2 - Light 2 (they loop) if you want to do exactly what he showed in the video without the shield-bash. Alternatively Heavy 1 (shield-bash) Heavy - Light 2 (and loop it). Exactly the same as on Hammer & Shield.

At first I discounted the dual hammers on iron breaker because I was taking too much damage and going down… and I’ve started to get tired of failing to do anything substantial with the shield and hammer… but i realize I wasn’t playing well when I last used the hammers. I always liked running Halberd on my FT for the wide swing and AP against the bigger lads. Its always just so satisfying being able to both deal with hordes and deal with armored threats without mucb fuss. Don't get me started with running Halberd and Concotion, hard and fast swings along with Continious charging is just great!

Great Video. I have been doing this whole push thing on Handmaiden but I didnt know about stagger breakpoints just that she had that double stamina regen that allowed me to push infinitely. Being able to push monks could make me change to FN

You can do that with hm as well though some breakpoints may be different. It's always a question on whether or not it's worth it of course. Hm (and sot with a push build) have much better mobility when compared to fk, so reaching those high stagger breakpoints is rarely worth the investment.

Following your recommendations for mace and sword build I've had probably my best game ever on legend-warcamp. I'm working my way through the four boss maps in order to open the red illusion for the weapon. I noticed the difference immediately from doing into the nest right before going onto warcamp. To the point I was able to survive three party members going down. I killed the hordes and two assassin's before managing to make it to the revive site, where myself and the dwarf player carried the rest of the map until the boss fight alone, the other two went down again until inside the camp itself It was a memorable and fun, effective run and I gained a friend in the dwarf player Thanks for the video

The reason why foot knight is not played as much on cata or higher it's because merc has temp health and paced strikes to everyone and grail knight has such high dps and boss killing power.

GK is a boss dealer that specializes on support and melee, mercenary is a offensive melee oriented class with a ult even baby bots can use. with right charms and talents, a S&M resourceful combatant build can scream every 30 second to keep stagger the enemies, and help the team just gain extraordinary amounts of temp health. grail knight with right talents can be a constant supply of healing or strength potions, as well as a melee kitchen gun that removes any elites out of this world and 40% kills bosses on its own. with concoction he can just solo the damn thing usually and while he has lotta issues being only melee class like halescourage, and/or deathrattler, he still is both a tank class and a melee boss tackler class and having no boss dealer and only tankers is a very... unfun fight to be said(refer: handmaiden) his stagger utility is top tier on any career, with SotT repel coming in close second and Sienna Fire Sword/Dagger and Flaming Flail on the thirds. foot knight is a top tier class, easy and straightforward to use- but so are the all kruber careers aside from huntsman- with more straightforward usable mechanics of just pre damage, strength potions or just AoE healing, for newer players it seems better to use them- for veterans, its a choice. all good choices, but i do like to prevent the cascade before it even starts, by murdering few CWs from existance right away or healing everyone so that they dont go down from normal enemy attacks that easily.

Well I'm not the video poster but maybe i can offer some of my perspective as someone who mostly plays kerillian on cata (though admittedly i don't play shade a lot). So you enjoy shade? Awesome to hear it. Shade is still a good class even after her changes (she was completely busted before). Probably one of the more difficult classes to play now since positioning has gotten more important, but you can do some nasty things to bosses or elites. I say 'or' because that's the 2 builds you can mostly spec her into. Which one you should use depends mostly on team comp, but if you play with randoms go with whichever one you feel more comfortable with. Is there anything else you wish to talk about with regards to shade? I just gave some general statements since i don't know how far along you are.

Foot Knight's ability to just get anyone out of a bad situation (and nigh being able to spam that ability) is incredibly powerful. He's probably the best character in the game at enemy control, able to stagger and knock anything down to his hearts content. Also cheesing monsters with him will never get old.

You should try the quick combo with mace and shields. Push-attack light push-attack light repeat. It allows you to get out attacks way faster than normal as you can queue the first light attack while the push attack is still going. And it's the same on the dawi's. It hits fast enough to consistantly stumble anything except monsters too. It's great when used in the right situation.

either, because stagger is based on Power, swapping from power vs skaven (for PM) to Power vs Chaos/Armored (for CWar), reduces your power to a point where you can't stagger the monks anymore.

Oh btw he can also solo nurgloth if you tell the team to just focus on horde during his flying phase. Get 80% block cost reduction, 30% stamina regen trinket, counter punch skill, and shield and mace. Block nurgloth's hit, and reply with a push attack combo. Takes a few minutes but guarantees an easy win.

Footknight is the only career that I use the Executioners sword with All of the attack speed make it actually usable and if there are any elites in the crowd I just push them with a ult backhand and heavy attack them if needed

The problem I personally have with those stagger breakpoints (at least on cata) is that yes, these enemies are kind of frequent, and yes they are one of the bigger wipe threats, but part of the reason for that is how many there can be at once which means: - Either they are spread out, at which point the stagger is very little use for your team cause you can always just stagger a few of them, usually the ones on yourself. - Or you get lucky and they are all on you (or on a team mate and you try to take their place), but then still you can only stagger like 3 or 4 of them at any given time with the roughly 16 others being unaffected because they are second and third row or flanking you and hitting you from there.

i tried him out using the mace and shield because i happened to get a veteran rarity one and hes so good at making space and has so much sustain. The only issue is id be pushing people around but it would take forever to kill them. Definitely need a battle wizard, slayer, zealot or outcast engineer to help clear.

Kruber has only one B tier Class. And that's the Huntsman. The huntsman himself would be a much worse class if he didn't have access to Kruber's Weapons. The FK is just as good as the GK. What FK lacks in damage compared to GK he brings in mobility, he brings that in team support and he brings that in crowd control. They are both highly specialized careers and do what they do better than anybody else.

In the beginning before the days of gimmicky dlc characters, Foot Knight, Ironbreaker, Slayer, and even Zealot were top teir damage dealing machines, Foot Knight because he was Tannky support melee, Ironbreaker is self explainitory, Slayer because he would and STILL DOES delete anything that dares cross his path, Zealot because he was a sheer horde and Rothelm killing machine and could hard counter zerkers and still hunt specials to a degree.

I've always liked greatsword on FK. Crowd clearer for hordes and then push attacks for elites. Take barrage in the repeater for a bit of boss damage too.

I wish GS wasn't so... Mid. It's only really worth taking over other options on modded difficulties due to how pathetic and important his push attack is. I wish his push attack was a 2 hit combo like Hammer & Shield. It has a very strange niche of being very good at killing Berserkers with its heavies. Strange weapon, but sadly eclipsed by most of Krubers options :(

I dont know about breakpoints BUT I don't that if you knock everyone on the ground with a charge, the greatsword just MAULS THEM regardless. The greater stagger perk, combined with the stagger health perk, I feel like it really helps. Not sure though. Also, year old comment. Sorry.

Bretonnian sword is really cool on footknight too, since you charge with heavy attack block. It's fun. Also, you can break CHAOS KNIGHTS out of their overheads with the heavy. Turns them into chumps.

Numb To Pain is actually amazing, but if you're charging into the middle of a horde and getting surrounded you're using it wrong. It's a Swiss army knife ability that enables a bunch of clever tricks when combined with charge cancelling. For example, you can use it to: * Pick up allies even more safely *Heal yourself or others in the middle of fights * Negate fall, gas and blightstorm damage *Switch to your gun and shoot a high priority target in an unsafe situation *Safely start up an attack combo on a slower weapon without getting stabbed during the wind-up animation.

IMO he is a B tier for amazing teams... but he is indeed invaluable for qp... Also, i prefer running brettonian longsword on footknight... imo it works as well as the mace and sword against hordes and is stronger against armoured enemies. 6:12 It's worth to note here. If there are diminishing returns, there will always be a soft cap

Numb to Pain is used to negate damage - u can negate Blightstormer tornado damage, falling down damage, minigun/flamer damage etc. It also gives you 3 seconds in which u can just use ranged weapon (mostly shotgun) while getting hit, sniping that special safely. I've seen Guz T do crazy things with that skill, making insane clutches on Cata+ & Twitch mode, but personally i can't use it that well.

Yeah the play-making potential of Numb to Pain is crazy. But my problem with it is you'll only get value out of it a few times per game. And since it's a low cooldown ult, you'd be missing out on a ton of value. That being said, if Numb to Pain saves the game every once in a while, it's a great pick for those who like to emphasize clutch ability

Yeah, I think the invuln is way too valuable to take the knockdown charge over. I see the argument for ostland - I didn't realise just how long that lasted - but a hard invuln on a low cooldown ult with niche use is very strong. It gives your button another use case so you can get more value out of it over a map.

Now if you knew beforehand that you get more use out of the invulnerability then that's a different story. Some maps may qualify based off the final event

I have a problem. I have +10% vs chaos on my shield/mace wep, +10% vs chaos and +10% vs armor on my charm. I have staggering force and enhanced power. But i still cant Shield bash chaos warriors out of their overhead attack on legend/cata difficulty. I have to get Comrades in arms to be able to do it. Have they changed it? Did i missunderstand or is the guide wrong on this? I am level 35 with 300 power on all items (650 total).

Yeah, just make sure you take power vs skaven on your weapon and your charm and have your power as high as possible. If you're still having trouble hitting the breakpoint, then you can take Comrades in Arms as well, but that's a last resort since Rock of the Reikland is so good.

Bra foot night is just fun as hell. Driving my way though a hourde or counter charging bestigors and minitors and shutting them down will never not be fun. Sure you don't dish out as much damage as other classes but you do control movement and can do some clutch bs especially because you can still take it on the chin like a champ!
