Klopp mentioned Bernardo indirectly after the game that "City always pick the right player to carries the ball and their decision making is so good" I never thought of a Winger who will end up as one of Double Pivots and not average double pivot like Klopp said right player. Pep playing Cancelo,Jesus,Bernardo in other match Stones,Zinchencho out of position and they're performing like they're already world class in that position. On the other hand I was wondering why Pep didn't bring Grealish in instead of Sterling in the early second half. Kloop was pressing with Henderson in the first phase while Salah remained deep with Arnold. That's why Matip was Pushing high to cover any attack.Grealish could attract more pressure from Arnold and Matip. City could've more possession in that phase. Pep adapted this by bringing in Mahrez on thr right and Jesus on the left, that was more defensive approach that we rarely see from Pep. Later he bought in Grealish in 82th minute, it was too late.

1- I think the key for putting Sterling in the starting lineup, was his pace. He didn't had to do anything, just the threat of his pace kept the Liverpool defense a couple of yards deeper and therefore, created a small gap for city's false nine (KDB) to drop in. 2- Bernardo was the person who at times, became the second false nine and at times dropped into the second pivot position. He's tireless! 3- Jesus is a bit selfish when it comes to finishing but he can hold the ball with superior magic. 4- If pep adds one finishing session to their training, maybe they won't lose so many shots. I think he's focusing too much on the switches and forgot shooting lessons. Lol 5- For the first time this season, I saw one of city's pivots (Rodri or Bernardo) drop into the back line to create numerical advantage. Maybe Pep was worried about getting outnumbered at the back? ++++++++++++ Please analyse the big games with more detail, won't hurt to see a 30 min analysis video on their next match. Thanks!

Not that I am in any position to criticize Jurgen Freaking Klopp, but surely it would not be a good idea to play a high line vs CITY of all teams? I mean why would you give KdB the spaces to play those killer through balls? Many teams have already shown the blueprint to beat City. Deny them space in behind, force them to resort to aimless crosses to their shorter forwards, then hurt them with pace. If Son and Kane can do it consistently, imagine how much more success Salah/Mane/Jota/Diaz could have? My only guess is that Klopp rated his mid of Fab/Hendo/Thiago highly enough to go toe to toe with Pep's. That decision may have very well cost him 4 points this season (the draw at Anfield was similar) and possibly, the title.
