@@PiggBodine honestly I don't think most of them are, especially since they all very easily find clips to clearly show what they are saying. It's just that there are multiple ways that spurs do things. For example here he talks about the full backs arriving in the box for cut backs, which is true, but you can also see instances of the midfielders doing this like bissouma or when Sarr scored vs United, and some other youtube analysts have pointed this out instead.

Say what you like about the league but it was the manner of which he turned it around and had the team playing fantastic football. Also Ange has succeeded as an underdog manager all throughout his managerial career. He knows how to help underdog teams win and overcome.negative mindsets as well as having good tactics. Also he doesn't want his team playing it safe, so they are constantly encouraged to take risks which causes the team to become braver as they keep playing and there is an element of exhilaration in playing this way which also translates to the people watching the game as well.

Ange has been amazing manager, but I believe there are three more key changes to this success. 1) New key players of Madders and Micky, they were absolutely amazing. 2) Sonny as a Captain, unlike Lloris or Kane, he is more engaging and more brother like figure to the players. Son creates more welcoming environment. 3) Resurgence of Bissouma, he has been a stud. His defense, and playmaking was impressive.

Thank you for this video. To be honest, I preferred Luis Enrique or Arne Slot which Vincent Kompany as backup. I was 50:50 for Postecoglou, but grew more & more to like him because of dozens or more videos about him especially his team talk, his persona & that one video of his translator getting booked while he was still at Japan. I'd also read a foreigner living in Yokohama told a story that because of him, many local people decided to follow the F Marinos. There was also one Celtic fan who made a Q&A about Postecoglou. One I remember was (I'm paraphrasing here): "My grandpa had Jock Stein, my father had Martin O'Neill & I had Ange Postecoglou." The changes he has made so far are brilliant. My prediction before the season was the same amount of points from last season but more entertaining football. I think they will be - as he says - bumps or derail a bit, but he won't let it for too long. The squad - as he said - needs maybe a couple more transfer windows & I think we're lucky we hadn't had European football or our squad depth will be really tested. About your last point about conceding chances; in a way, I'm not surprise especially from high turnovers. There are already games this season where we need around 20-30 minutes to figure the opposition pressing system & then after that, we get our chances. The players are still understanding his system & maybe Postecoglou is also still understanding his players. They are gonna keep with plan A with small tweaks but the philosophy won't change. Looking forward for the rest of the season & hopefully no more major injuries again please.

You nailed on the head at the end. Why this type of play can work is because the have steel wall at GK and fast but sticky fullbacks (and others) that are willing to run back. Why not? The fullbacks are scoring also!! They also have teeth in this formation.

What I am enjoying is how the younger players are embracing it and showing a willingness to play. It will require rotation and a squad, that this season isn't quite at the same levels . Especially the back line and not quite finishing these moves may cost points as the season progresses. Keep it positive ,front foot . Mentality and decision making as important as fitness for this to really become second nature .Winning will always help reinforce that positive message , so keep working at it . CoYS!

Spurs' build-up structure is one anchor with the 2 inverted fullbacks(udogie & porro) in midfield on both sides of the anchor man(bissouma). The other pivot(8- sarr) joins the attack either through the left side of the midfield or right sides depending on James Maddison's movement. So instead of a 2 man midfield, the build structure looks like this, 2CB's-3cms-5FW. This very build up structure you're talking about is in game adjustments depending on the type of opponent being faced(basically teams who look to congest the middle of the park) But the latter is the ideal Ange Ball build-up structure. Take a critical look at it.

I think the role of maddison is interesting. Most of the teams have five players upfront, but with no one directly behind them. Maddison plays exactly there. This creates opportunities for overloads and combinations, but it sacrifices a defensive player. In Build up the 2-2 or the 3-1 structure are very risky in transitional situations. Spurs often choose the 2-2 but I think the 3-1 would give them more stability because the flanks are covered better. That’s what we could see with Nagelsmann‘s Bayern, with Kimmich in front of the back line and Muller in this free role behind the front five where he could roam and create. Really interesting concept

My take on it is that if you can create a positive buzz around the players, club and fans, it’s a better platform for potential success. The players can play the brand of football that allows them to express themselves and you can build a fortress for your home games. Seems to be a more organic template for a club than just financing a rotating squad and team tactics. We’ve been depressing for a few years and not getting desired results either, so at least giving punters their money’s worth is a step towards change and something to build on.

Spurs play a unique kind of attacking football, and one of the reasons why I think it's been hard to stop them is primarily because of how Maddison adds an attacking monkey wrench to proceedings. He has a kind of freedom to move around the play overall and create link ups or relieve pressure where he deems it necessary, which as a result makes it difficult for opposing teams to nullify him entirely- simply because it's hard to stop him on paper (ie create a tailor made strategy to stop him). This means that Spurs generally look very dangerous in attack with him (and Bissouma together). Once Maddison is subbed off a lot of the threat evaporates simply because teams can more comfortably resist Spurs' incursions (in general, and I think that over time as Ange gets some transfer windows and even deeper training even this may change). That being said, Hojbjerg seems to be a good option for when Spurs don't want to up the tempo but to slow it down, which has its bonus in very dodgy games. Vicario was also mentioned but he's been an incredible signing for this side as well. Just my 2 cents.

The way Ange manipulates the full backs is very smart, very Pep like. Ofcourse having Maddison really pushed them a top 6 team to a top 4 team easily, and the new ball playing gk and Bisoumas press resistance shouldnt be ignored.

Sorry, I don”t mean to be critical of your comment but Ange was playing this system way before Pep. We saw it in Australia many years ago and the reason why Pep stated that Ange was an exceptional manager was because he saw Angie’s system in Japan (Angie’s Yokohama team was part of the City group). Either way, all Aussies and Greeks are backing Ange and we all have a leaning towards Tottenham now that he;s there. Wishing your club all the best and we’ll all be barracking for your team from a distance.

My favorite thing about this team is how we are quite literally scoring all over the pitch, I think its only the keeper that hasnt scored Every position has had a pop in, maybe the LB players havent scored yet waiting on our Udogie goal AND ALSO It feels like our Midfield are professional pickpockets I swear they nick the ball so often and technique like that gets me off my chair I like seeing that from defensive mids

Ange is the greatest Australian coach of any football code...This man produced a team in a salary capped league that has the most extensive unbeaten period success, bar non. not AFL not Rugby, not, Rugdy league. He created a team of apparently underwhelming players, to achieve Australias only continental championship team. South Melbourne Brisbane Roar Melbourne Victory Yokohama FC Celtic Tottenham..... dream large

The January transfer market and injuries will play a big part in Tottenham's season success. Should they strengthen the main team in January there is no reason to not think that they can win the EPL, it would be a silly man to bet against them - Ange's successful history shows this!
