Just bought an 04 CRV with 136k miles on it. It's got that same cod issue. Or so it seems if that's what you found out to be the case with that code. But seems like a legit decent job to do on my own to save several hundred dollars instead of wasting it for a mechanic shop to do it in the same time. Seems like a helpful tutorial. I'll give it a try. Thanks!

This is my second time in 2 yrs watching your video (great video by the way) doing this. I have a 02 CRV 228,000 and it blew a 1078. And a P0137 - bank1 sensor2 02 sensorI guess, circuit low volts. I cleared the codes and after 100 or so miles the p1078 only came back for the 2nd or 3rd I guess. I clean the s*** out of it the first time. Im not new to wrenching. I been doing most my work on the my older cars for over 35 to 40 yrs. Sorry My question is there a way to test some of these parts on this IMRC? Diaphragm, IMAC Position sensor, hoses check out. This car i got from my son fixed a few things and been enjoying it. Its also blows a P1457 (evap leak code i guess) for yrs. As far as I know its not a easy fix. Iv tried a few things. Sorry for long mesg.

@happybleeding Жыл бұрын
probably a clogged screen on your v-tech solenoid , or the v- tech solenoid is bad, oil pan gaskets are known to leak on the k24a,

Good video. Doing water pump on Honda pilot 6 cyc is pain because it run on timing belt. Get you a flex head Ratchet you won't ever want not use it. I have them from O'Reilly brand to snap on flex head and hate using non flex now.

I replaced the whole runner control assembly and cleaned throttle body and vtec screen/gasket in 03 Crv. The idle is high up and down. I have 0134 and 1166 I order a new 02 sensor. Any suggestions on high idle?
@happybleeding Жыл бұрын
check your maf sensor could be wiring or an air leak in your intake , definitely sounds like air to fuel mixture is messed up, clean the maf with maf cleaner and check to see if its dirty , or if it got knocked around or fell on the ground that can damage them also, hope this helps

@Happy & Bleeding I have a 2006 CR-V, to replace PCV valve do I need to remove the frome part to get the access?
@happybleeding Жыл бұрын
you have to remove kind of a lot of stuff so you can get a wrench on it, its in a real tight spot, I would install a catch can because the k-motor hs the pcv valve in a crappy spot and they always flood with oil, you can try to loosen it by hand but mine was really tight and I had to remove a whole Buch of crap. good luck David

@josephanderson4296 Жыл бұрын
It could be the intake manifold runner control switch. It's a pretty common failure on these cars

these motors are notorious for recirculating oil vapor through the egr system and in the intake runner so I kinda now this crv inside and out and it just needs a cleaning sometimes but you are right inis good to test them in most cases

This is the third video I’ve watched and all of you skip over how to remove the throttlebody exactly. The camera is not directed at work you’re doing at that point.
@happybleeding Жыл бұрын
sorry man , the throttle body is not to hard to take off there are 4 14 mm bolts holding it on they are a little difficult to get to but doable with a regular ratchet and you can leave the throttle cables attached, then just lay it off to the side.
