That hose at the bottom I forgot to connect. Such a pain it's so short. I'll see if I can lengthen the hose. Thanks

Thanx Keith. Still remember ur other Cr-V video with the p0171 when u pinched that vacuum hose and ur trim numbers went down n it could've been that solenoid but it's the diaphragm on the motor mount that went bad. More awesome tips. Thanks brother. Like the orange hose to ur vacuum guage. Gotta upgrade mine. Take care

Great diag. Thanks. I have the same Harbor Fright lite. Very limited use, same button problem.90 day warranty, no replacement parts available, price just increased, comes without a charger. Better buy is the Astro Pneumatic with 1 year warranty and charger, and has been in use 1 year longer that the HF light. Just my own experience.
@jamesh62295 жыл бұрын
Yeah Keith, just like Ivan says, buy OEM parts. Unless of course you disassemble the old part and try and repair it yourself. 😏

Its getting ridiculous how often im changing these "new" dorman solenoids. For me the most common to fail while new are the dorman vent or purge valves for hondas. Theyre always either sticking open or closed. occasionally ill even get one with a completely open coil. Unbelievable they keep selling these things.

Wait so all this time, it’s basically a technical tap on the valve of the imrc????? After I literally change the solenoid and check the sensors, make sure it’s running right?

Can someone tell me what the problem was? Was it solely the solenoid that was bad (I assume because it was an aftermarket part from Dorman)? Or was the problem more than just the solenoid? I'm a bit confused 😂
@xerxes4565 жыл бұрын
The problem is not Dorman the problem is Humans they think cheap all day long.......... even big companies. Great as always Keith soon 20 000 subs this is one thing that is really cheap but with high-quality New Level Auto teaching and education. When a reporter asks a high CEO in a big company why they started to sell cheap low quality products the answer was it is because the customers want cheap products they don't pay for quality anymore.

And it's the "D" word for the win (or fail) again!!! Lolol... great video as always....thank you!!
@diymisfit_Mechanic_UDX4045 жыл бұрын
On the Braun light, I thought my button was going bad also, but it was the ground strap inside. You have to unscrew the wand off the top, then unplug it from base. Then you have to remove the power button, just pop out the casing that holds the button with a pick. Then from the inside where you took the wand off, you can use a pick to pull out the half plastic piece opposite the switch if I remember. Then you can remove entire assembly. There will be a small wire that grounds it, that was my problem on mine.

Thank you so much for posting this video. I feel like I have a better understanding because of it. Quick question if you don't mind, I've got a 2005 CRV and I'm getting a P1078 code for a IMT Valve stuck long. Is this the same part as in the video just malfunctioning differently or is it something completely different all together? The car itself shifts hard from 1st to 2nd but all the other shifts are smooth as silk. Is this code P1078 related to this? Would you mind giving my your opinion on this?
