Back in the '90s U.S. Bank had a glitch with it's ATMs one winter. As long as you only asked for $20, it would give it to you whether you had it in your account or not. Well, I had just lost my job and had two little kids to feed. By the time they fixed the glitch, I owed them $900 with interest and late fees. But it was worth it. I told them if they would cash my $2,300 tax return check they could keep $900 of it.

This reminds me of the long distance carrier completion in the early 1990s. One company would mail you a check to switch ($30). So we cashed the check. The next week a check came from another company for $50, then $70 from Another, etc. We flipped flopped our carriers every week until the checks stop coming. Took in close to $300. Came in handy with three little girls who needed Easter dresses/shoes.

If a company you work for accidentally over pays you, do not spend it. That is not your money. Technically you can spend it but they can legally pull it back from your account and if you spent it then you now owe them. You don't have to pay them back but they will just take you to court and sue you. You wouldn't like it if they under paid you, they wouldn't like it if you spent what wasn't yours to begin with. This happened at my work and a bunch of people lost their jobs and two employees lost their court battles over it as well. It is considered theft whether they do it to you or you to them.

Funny wage theft of employers not paying or under paying is the largest type of theft in the US and when talking about value if I remember right more than 4x the value of all other forms of theft combined each year. Btw it's also the only form of theft that's not a felony regardless of value and it's mostly unprosecuted as well as the government rarely takes action unless over 70k can be proven easily and even then may still not act. The penalty for it is just a fine and being told to pay what is owned as well no criminal charges when found guilty.

@iunno I am so sick and tired of hearing excuses for evil behavior. What Doordash pays their employees is completely irrelevant to what's being discussed, they are in no way related to people trying to steal literally thousands or tens of thousands of dollars. And the people can't mind the wage that much since they are still working there. In times past you could make the excuse that they are the only option, but right now there are so many jobs available it's insane. If you are choosing to continue employment at a company instead of find a something better, iyou obviously don't mind it. I grew up in the Pentecostal and Baptist Church. I didn't like either one different reasons, but I never ran across anyone who pretended to be a an apostle or anyone who tried to do healing. One person tried to do a casting out of a demon one time but all of the visiting ministers and things like that no healing and no one claiming to be an apostle a lot of condemnation and put down and criticism from the Baptist church seen a lot of people kicked out of the Baptist Church because they didn't fit the way the Baptist Church was going or teaching and a lot of criticism from them even to the children. I had a lot of criticism from them because I wouldn't put my dime that I was saving and collecting and very proud to have in the offering when I was eight nine years old. Something like that called a lot of unfavorable things by the Baptist and then there was a lot of criticism from the Pentecostal church but in all of the years that I was in one or the other of those churches, I never saw anyone claim to be a postle or attempt to do any healing. And I can't remember them saying that you could be an apostle or that you could heal. And there wasn't very many that I remember that spoken tongues other than my grandmother and maybe one or two and it was spread out equally between the men and women that did that just could have been the ones I was going to. @@DeathnoteBB yeah they still did for the one order I made during the glitch which freaked me out because I'd lost my wallet at the time

@@DemonicsInc No I mean after you told them what happened. If you didn’t know there was a glitch you didn’t use it intentionally

I don't know what door dash did in this situation but this is why you are never smarter than a company. Companies always have the upper hand.

Had no idea about this, but I’m honestly kinda glad I didn’t. Just as the saying goes, I’d something looks too good to be true, it probably is.

I wish I could say the same, but unlike you, I am lazy. Doordash is way too expensive. Not only do they charge a delivery fee, service fee and tip, but they often inflate the prices of each item.

@@CognitiveHeatsinkI used to work for a restaurant. All the prices as for waitr. Similar to DoorDash n Uber eats. The price are programmed from the restaurant. the restaurant has to pay a percentage of the ticket and a per ticket fee. Let say you received an order. The order is payed by 4 different debit cards. They also charge a 50 cents per debit card. On top of the 4 percent transaction free.

As a Doordash Driver, I made bank delivering all those "free" orders. I knew it was a glitch. I got my monies though, thanks everyone!
