If you think about it that extends to old loki as well damn that's sad since his sacrifice only served to get them to kang. There was really no choice that didnt invite suffering here. Either A. They let the TVA continue to destroy lives and encroach on free will of the entire timeline themselves or B. They free the timeline and have the Kang variants wreak havoc on potentially infinite timelines.

Kang (or whatever alternative form he has taken over the years) is a multiversal calamity, with apparent power to dominate all of space time, as proof of Immortus at the end of Loki. Each Kang I theorize has this potential due to them pretty much existing over time on a universal+ scale (potentially), which no current Avengers can really handle unless the alternative universe Avengers hop in with multiverse busters.

The reason Kang couldn’t see past a certain point in time, is because of where they were at: The Citadel lies at the end of time. You can see everything in the past up to where you are currently at. So for that version of Kang, that threshold was where he came to the citadel. Time continues to move forward and be written but he hadn’t gone back in time past where the 2 Loki’s made their decision. Where Loki ended up was just an alternate timeline where he was never a variant and never met Mobius, which is why he didn’t know him. And the conqueror version of Kang won the multiversal war in the past rather than the one we met in this episode. Fantastic reaction you guys!!

Thats not how that works. They are not aware of the fact that they fought "before" (In a 5th dimension, time within the TVA style of time). Immortus stopped his own realities causality past from splitting, so there wouldn't be any alternate universes with alternate versions of himself to begin with, after he annihilated/prevented/absorbed (those terms being equivalent).

Loki was willing to give up his dream of having a throne up so easily because not only can he only trust himself but he found a literal version if himself that doesnt outright treat him like a monster and understands his pain and thoughts in everyway but also has her own individualism. He wouldn't be "alone" anymore. Loki was willing to trust sylvie but Sylvie detests anything that means "being a loki" because thats caused her years of being hunted and treated like a monster as well. Loki can trust himself and only himself because hes scared of being alone and betrayed but has finally found someone who he believes will never betray him. However, sylvie can only trust her INDIVIDUAL self because shes grown up thinking lokis are the scum of the universe, destined to lose, and if her goal is to ultimately kill the people that kidnapped her and shes "destined to lose" I can imagine she probably hated that idea even more. Loki even said he didnt like hurting people, I believe in a weird villainous mindset, loki just wanted to be king to have a people accept him and view him as a beloved king, rather than the monster the Asgardian parents tell stories to their kids about, regardless of his methods of being king. When he said "I just want you to be okay", I felt like he was also saying that about himself because he KNOWS the exact pain shes been in. They dont want to be alone anymore and they dont want to be in pain, but they both have different methods of solving that, sylvies life was filled with too much anger and revenge to let it go, but lokis solution was right in front of him. He didnt need a throne if he has an equal that loved him and wouldn't betray him like he viewed everyone else as doing. Even the Classic/old loki said that the ONLY reason the TVA took him was because he got lonely and wanted to leave the planet he was isolated on. :( This show was so good

I think this is actually Immortus and not Kang as Immortus is the final/future version of a Kang who has worked for/wit( the time keepers to keep the timeline safe as well as try to stop Kang much like how he has tried to stop the Council of Kangs by creating the ‘sacred timeline’. "It's fucking Kang. It's Kang!" Close! He's A Kang, but he's not Kang the Conquerer. He's the version of Kang that managed to end the war, destroy the other timelines, and locked down the multiverse. The entire point of the Sacred Timeline is to ensure that he comes into existence so that he can prevent his varients, the Council of Kangs, a multiversal empire of Kang the Conquerors, from emerging. Wait until you see his variants indeed.

I really like how they went with a Hybrid "He Who Remains/Immortus(which is a version of Kang). What a brilliant way of introducing Kang to the MCU. It's really limitless to what the folks behind the MCU can do with Kang now. We might see many different Kangs. Very exciting stuff!

Also, I get where dude is coming from, but He Who Remains/Immortus did not "let" Thanos happen, in fact, in his "sacred timeline" The Avengers win. The only multiverse out of 14 million 6 hundred that defeated Thanos. So in a way, Immortus stopped Thanos by allowing his defeat to be in the sacred timeline.

Lupa going big-brain and spitting facts. I never even thought about the group Loki fight being a small-scale version of the Kang fight. That's crazy. What an episode and what a finale. Easily my favourite of the shows so far. With the timeline being what it is, this leads us into the "What if..." series where we see Killmonger as a good guy, Agent Carter as a super soldier, and the Marvel zombie apocalypse.
