I wish I would have watched this video sooner. For years I had only ever used chew (Redman). One day I walked to a local store and thought what the heck…. I’m gonna try some dip. Bought a can of wintergreen grizzly. Being totally ignorant, I thought I needed a similar load size and loaded about a third of the can in my jaw. I walked about half a block and was very close to having an out of body experience. The cosmos was spinning around me. I laid on the ground in utter confusion wondering what was wrong with me. I spit out the chew and crawled back to my apartment where I laid on the floor in nauseous agony for 3 hours. Good times.

Haha I’ve noticed this is true with my co workers. I work in a steel mill and everyone dips Grizzly. I’m the only one there that chews Redman. It’s stressful and strenuous work so we need our nicotine. I enjoy the flavor and experience of chewing not just the buzz. I leave motor oil puddles everywhere I go lol.

My opinion: the very basics is Copenhagen straight fine cut. And if wintergreen, Grizzly long cut wintergreen. And if you want to keep it cheap stay away from premium or you won't want to go back. Hard to go from Grizzly to Kayak. Maybe impossible.

Either way if you want to try out chews I'd suggest Red Man or my personal favorite Red Man Golden Blend. If you like either of those maybe start looking around for harder to find chew. (Depending on where you live it may be hard to find a variety of chew)

Dip is just moist, “loose” tobacco that you put between your gums and bottom lip. It produces tobacco juices as you suck on the tobacco in your gums/lips. You spit the juice out and repeat. Snuff is dry, super fine ground tobacco that you snort instead of holding it in your gums/lips.

The free nicotine has to do with how much alkaline they use. You can make any dip so strong it will give you nicotine poisoning. That's the only difference. How much they raise the PH level. I could turn stokers chew into dip in about 5 minutes. And make it stronger.
