one thing that helped me with hard water is to disregard all hacks/tips about leaving the face damp before doing my routine, wipe face dry then spray thermal/bottled water before my routine.
@aeriii4681 Жыл бұрын
No it's like rinsing your hair in distilled water. The minerals in hard water dry your hair and skin, so using Bottled or de-mineralized water helps

Never wipe your face especially if you have dry skin!! Always softly PAT it dry with a soft CLEAN cloth, if you don’t have a soft clean cloth or towel use paper towel but again only pat/blot dry never rub! Same with applying powder to dry skin 😉💘

But... Thermal water is from hot springs. It's full of minerals. It's hard water! 😂

@@Leo9ine not all water with minerals is hard water. Hard water has high ph and has a lot of minerals like limestone and chalk that dry out and irritate skin in high enough ppd

So I live in the Paris region and our water is notoriously hard, moisturizing isn't enough, I have to use a mild salicylic acid toner because I always feel like there's this layer if something on my skin. I usually like it when the weather warms up so I can switch to cooler water because there tends to be slightly less minerals in it than hot water

Waited a couple months and same thing 😭😭😭 had to throw away 2.5 bottles. Now I am afraid of trying any toners and not sure about other skincare stuff. I do use the cosrx in the bottle thats a clear gel and the one in a jar thats the white slime like one. Lol I do really like them but don't use everyday just to be safe.

Your skin is just gorgeous, James! 🤩 I have a question. Must it be hydrating toner? Or, would something like a hydrating serum work? I have a very fluid hydrating serum that is fluid enough to soak a cotton pad. Would that work as well, or would a toner be better? I have a question. I have issue with my lips drying out during certain seasons really bad. To the point they can bleed. Can I do this on my lips to help with that? I can't seem to find any kind of decent lip balm or cream or product specifically that works well in healing the issue sooner rather than later once it's gotten super bad. Usually I just have to keep putting balm on constantly just to try and keep the dryness at bay but it doesn't tend to show results until the season that brings it is more or less over.
@rchankelly Жыл бұрын
Aquaphor saved my dry sometimes cracked lips. My preferred one comes in a tube, but it also comes in a lip balm, stick balm, and large tub versions. Good luck.
@alosialee Жыл бұрын
@Rebecca Chan Kelly yeah I've tried all those. Aquaphors medicated one is the best one thus far I've found but it still does the same. Doesn't actually hit the core issue or heal the cracked and bleeding spots. Funnily enough I recently tried a mask with hyaluronic acid and niacinimide and let it sit on my lips instead of around them for the designated time and within a couple days my lips were both healed and haven't gotten dry or cracked since. So I may do it from now on at the start of every winter.
