I'm 13 years old. Everytime I hear this song I cry... here is the reason why. I am a very messed up kid, my parents were going through a divorce a couple years after I was born. The divorce was finalized on Feburary 13, 2018. Ever sense then I have been hospitalized more than 4 times. This song is what had been keeping me alive. I never believed in God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit, until my mom had almost died. I had cried and cried for days. Then she came home and her first word to me was "Cescefire" at first I was confused, but then I realized she was being abused... I thank the lord that she is alive today❤

I met this band when I was a little child, and I fell in love with all their songs, because they were unique. After a long time, I drifted away from God, forgetting all these wonderful songs. I always went to church anyway, the problem was that I didn't have a relationship with God. Then I went to the Summer Camp of my Church (Word of Grace Palermo PDG- Parola della Grazia Palermo PDG) (I'm Italian) and God manifested himself in my life in a supernatural way. I felt it enter my heart. It was beautiful and now I will never leave my God 👑❤️🥺. And after a few years I found this song again and I remembered Dor King and Country, I don't know how I could forget it! I was surprised by myself !! 😢😭 Because I didn't hear these songs anymore. I would say, the religion in of itself isnt toxic, its people who pervert it If you want to hear me explain, you can read further, if not, you can ignore my reply. Also I know that your comment was posted 4 years ago, but I felt compelled to try to explain a bit, hope you don't mind. In short, sin was brought into the world and we could no longer be free from it. In the past we had to offer sacrifices to God to be forgiven, but it wasnt foolproof. God sent down his only son to live the perfect sinless life we never could and he died for our sins. For sacrifices of the past, they brought lambs without blemish, innocent lambs, and this is where the metaphor comes in. If you know, Jesus also prayed to God asking if he could not go through it, but also said may his will be done. He wasn't immortal, as he took on our flesh. He died but then rose again after 3 days and conquered death and sin. No longer do we have to sacrifice lambs to be temporarily forgiven, but if we pronounce Jesus as our savior, we can come to God through his lens (when sin was introduced, men could no longer have a relationship (friendship) with God, and only the highest of priests can come into his presence). Also, there was no way into Heaven then either, because at the end of the day we were still stained with sin. Now, we can rejoice and have a relationship with our heavenly father once again because of his son's sacrifice, and we are granted salvation and grace for our sins. I was going to go much deeper until i accidentally deleted what I wrote, I hope this helped you understand. I can see where the whole "toxic" idea comes from, especially with toxic people themselves, but to each their own. Have a great day/night :)

This happened with "Shoulders", "Fix My Eyes", "Oh God Forgive Us", "Ceasefire", "Little Drummer Boy"-Which I saw in concert!-, "O God Forgive Us", "Pioneers", "Joy", "Amen," and "God Only Knows". I love the way their sincere desire to praise God and share his word through song stands at the forefront of everything they do. As someone who has sang solos in church since he was 16 (I'm turning 40 this October by the way--what better present than having the opportunity to be on stage with these guys!?!) and who is currently hard at work co-authoring exciting and action-packed books intended to reach the lost with wholesome Christian values snuck in I can only pray that I one day I’m able to make a similar impact for the Lord. I wish I could get this Thank you message to them with all my heart! ❤ After 8 and a half very long years of infertility, praying and crying my heart out. My husband and I learned we were expecting twins! We found out the day before Mother's day! We celebrated our foster child's birthday in the park a month later and I picked her up off a picnic table to put her feet on the ground. I began bleeding. I have never been so scared! It was quite a bit. I just wailed in the bathroom and My husband said "We have to choose to believe God will protect them!" We'd had so many losses over the years, including two sets of twins. I rushed to my doctor and on the way I cried and played this song and " Burn the Ships" again and again, singing until I was hoarse. When I got to the office and went in she found both little heartbeats and said they were so strong and they sounded active! Christmas Eve that year we welcomed two beautiful perfectly healthy boys! They will be a year old this Christmas Eve! He gave us though we sowed in tears we reaped with shouts of joy! I sing King and Country music to them all the time and they dance and make the most joyful noises to it! ❤ I wish you could see my grateful heart! Thank you so so much! You'll never know what this did for my heart in my time of pain.
