Watching the many crops of foals discovering the world beyond their stalls over the years is always a joy to watch especially when they figure out that they an run & zoom but this one with Coralle & Bellita in the arena with the tiny Dancer running alongside & C proudly tossing her head,is extra magical. Wow, from a dummy foal who thought her mom was a corner of the stall to this in only 3 days!! For her first time out, Belle is amazingly agile on those stilt legs of hers---her legs are almost as long as Coralle's! She has no trouble following & keeping up with her mom, taking sharp corners, staying close without getting in the way. Amazing. Dressage champion for sure!! Can't wait to see her & Blomke together! I predict much mischief!

I think Uniek just liked foals. She did the same thing with Reintje’s and Saly’s foals. I don’t remember offhand which foal it was last year, but she was stretching her neck over the railing to try to sniff the foal. She was a really super mem. And when the foals got big enough, she was “Auntie Uniek.”

Coralle was having the time of her life, finally back outside to stretch her legs. It was probably especially delightful without being pregnant. Belle Uniek is quite precious, enjoying herself as well and being able to stretch those long legs. What a special day for Yvonne, living her dream with another of Uniek’s progeny. I’m dreading the day we no longer see Uniek. Belle is beautiful. I’m sure she will have a long happy life with you, Yvonne. Some day Boss Coralle will go back to her owners. She will also be missed. I think it’s wonderful that Queen Uniek bonded with her so well, and they were such good friends.

I have the feeling that Coralle is more active than most of the Friesian mares. They often let the foals run and trot and gallop after them. Here Coralle runs and Belle stays with her.
