My digital piano, got right before the pandemic so have been teaching myself--not the best teacher but better than I thought. No private lessons during a pandemic so it was up to me. On my very darkest days, my piano gives me 35 minutes of not thinking about my life, sadness, depression, anxiety, agoraphobia, and being down the rabbit hole. I recommend it highly! Because you have to use both eyes and both hands (and feet if you know how to use the pedals), the part of your brain that is involved overrides that nasty amygdala that is at the root of the darkness. I loved the way that this video/ audio ended with the person finally getting out of the darkness and into the real light,

I have been mentally (and now even financially) struggling for quite a few years now. Tonight, I am sleepless and depressed. Thank you for this, took your tone deaf or musically gifted test from my recommendations and this video found me. Your message and music gave me comfort tonight. Continue doing what you do 🩵

I know that place you describe so well, I walked into that room many times... it's the room where emotions run high, if tears start pouring out of the eyes and it's a time to come clean, wash away your sins and heavy thoughts that has been supressed and ignored in the moment(s) - you carry them with you until that day and moment when the weight of the backpack get's to heavy, you must unload and sort the heavy rocks out, examine them in the light. It can be the loss of someone close, the heartache from a relationship that ended, sorrow from not hitting the mark, moments of failure and self loath. It can feel bad, hard and your heart bleeds. BUT. There is a time to move on, start see that there is light in the room if you open your eyes and focus. Eventually it will be better. If not today, then there's a new day tomorrow. Always carry the hope of better days with you onwards. Life continues. You have worth. And light to give. And receive. Even if nobody told you, I tell you and it's true: You are the sun! Fight, never give up. Even if you feel that you being consumed by a black hole, remember that in it's center there is light infinite as all of time and space get's compressed into a singular point. The darkness is temporary. Truth be told it's when it's darkest you appreciate the light the most. Breath slow, tell your body to relax. Let go. Let the tears flow if they must. There will always be a new day tomorrow. And it will be a little bit more sunny. Perhaps not much at first, but gradually you will find comfort and love. Even if you are alone. Music has been a helpful tool for me. From since I was a little child some songs made me cry. Because sadness is an emotion we have and need. Else we would never have the chance to improve. To gain insight. To understand other people's suffering. We are all connected, even if we can't sense it, music reminds us there's a connection. Without pain there would be no rejoice. They are the same coin, but have opposite sides. In our lives the coin flips, for everyone. Know you are not alone. 2 months ago now. Do you feel better bro?
@pladuxz

Well, by the fact it took me over 2 months to reply to your heartwarming words you can probably guess that things aren't much better. At least I was able to see a doctor and I'm under some supervision and medication now. That is helping a bit but it is still a long way to go for me. I can't manage to get my a** of to find a therapist in order to solve my actual issues. It is so crazy. I have a good life. A loving wife and two beautiful kids. I have a well paid job and everything else that I need. Still I'm being paralyzed by this void somewhere in my head. I can literally see how my life is breaking down at the moment because I am unable to do anything that requires more than 10 minutes of effort. I do fight and I will keep on fighting until I get back into a normal state. Until I have reprogrammed those broken neurons in my head. Until I have killed this evil daemon. I will not give up and at some time I will draw on these experiences and use them for something good.

Michael, it is a good day whenever I get to see and hear you perform, expressing such a strong message. For most of us, life can be so quixotic, always in flux, from hour to hour. My friend, your talents reach to the core of our beings and touch the very essence of what distinguishes us from animals, even though the savage part lives in all of us. Love and compassion are what keeps us from giving up, even in the hardest of times. This is an inspiring performance, as have all of them been. Your self proclaimed 3rd grandfather is very proud of you. Thank you for bringing your light into this world.💝🤗👏🎹🎼🎶

My dad just died. I'm glad the algorithm found me because I love hearing music. Gotta be happy even while sad, confused and angry at the same time. I play games. I find an escape in games because of the music sometimes. It distracts me from reality and the reality is its hard to come to terms when someone passes. I'm angry, but I try not to be angry because its a volatile emotion that I really don't need. I'm seeing a counselor about it. Thanks for the music. You're a beautiful person, so I subscribed to you. Music helps.

You've done something extraordinary for someone that you even don't know, somewhere in the world, this big big world. You've saved me. Thank you. I will keep believing in human beings and in art. Because only we artists can understand what lies beneath... thank you from the bottom of my sad and struggled heart. Hi Michael, I love all kinds of music, but I’ve never sat and listened to someone play the piano before- it’s never interested me- I just didn’t “get it”. What I just heard took me through something- I can’t explain- emotions maybe- something inside me woke up- I’ve felt numb and robotic for years- the range of emotions I just went through was so unexpected - I hope it stays- I miss feeling … feelings. I don’t know how to thank you- I’m sure you’ll never read this- if you do or if you don’t see this, what you just made me feel- you will get back tenfold- like the words on the screen said (how I understood) everything in this world goes full circle, you have to be the luckiest guy alive- putting music out like that to turn us robots back to humans is majestic. Wonderful work!!! THANK YOU & much Love, Just a nameless faceless girl- a nobody. ❤

The prayer at the end was my favorite part. But it was nicer due to the growing tension of the melody and the slight relief of the chord that preceded your prayer. Like the video, and also liked your test video to test an ear for music.The bit you play here has me a little confused as being started in a minor key, although relaxing is also a little sad. I have a little test for you though that could prove very interesting. I was very much aware after having listened to Rakmaninoff concerto, that Eric Carman clearly was hit between the eyes with in a few minutes of the second movement, and clearly copied it in his song All by myself, however having listened to it two or three times i became aware that tnis music has at least the basis for at least three well know songs some not that old. The song All By Myself is very clear to the piint of being hard to miss as it it played a number of times right from the start but mainly in tbe second movement. I just wondered how many people can pick the other songs which are very clearly part and parcel of this beautiful concerto. I have also listened to Rapsody in blue, and recall as a kid i played the harmonica and worked real hard to master it, despite being poles apart in their story line, there is still the very same language there, i think this just says a ,lot for the ablity of a piano in the hands of an expert, i just wondered about the fact that as yet, i have found no part of this music that is common to any song that I know, and put it down to the fact that Rapsody in blue is about a place not a person, although it clearly says quite a bit about a crowd of people going about their daily work or life. Would be pleased if anyone else finds this to be the case, many thanks for the music, i think i must live for it as could not manage without it weather its in my head or something that i am listening to.
