As an ex-manosphere guy: a lot of these people I suspect, or at least some, become narcissists specifically due to the focuses and methods the manosphere teaches you to manage your life and relationships. Once you've fallen for the programming, /not/ being a narcissist will when you're in that headspace look like it'd completely kill your chances of ever having any success in life. This is not even mentioning how all that stuff implicitly teaches you, sometimes without you even realizing, to instrumentalize your interactions with people and objectify others.
