That’s actually sad/terrifying... but for real, trained dogs can identify for example cancer cells among closed Petri dishes even years after the sample was taken. Ghosts or no, dogs can certainly smell the fear and death in a vet’s room.

i feel like it isnt a far-fetched idea to have simultaneous criticisms of the food industry’s effect on people’s health while also endorsing the idea of, at the very least, body neutrality. weight isnt necessarily always tied to health and trying to paint it as a “oh well we just dont wanna make them feel bad” is massively underselling it. fat people will always exist, and its natural to be attracted to them. which is the especially weird part of this discussion because the way they talk about it they just seem to take it as a given that people just arent attracted to fat people? the whole “im not trying to say theyre bad people” line has always been a sort of backhanded way of saying “you’re ugly and im not attracted to you”, which in context makes the really bizarre take of “fat acceptance people are forcing you to be attracted to them” make sense, because at the core of a lot of this argument comes from the assumption that people can’t naturally be attracted to fat people, so fat people Must use the power of progressive social jargon to convince men to want to pity fuck them. im not trying to stretch the interpretations of their words and reading in bad faith out of reflex, it genuinely seems like a very bizarre tangent that starts out somewhere meritable and then veers into wallowing in the mire of their insecurity towards the idea of being scolded into having to fuck someone they dont find attractive. i like these guys and all but they arent always right lmao

Have you ever listened to plinkerton by weezer? It’s This brutally honest self reflection that’s simultaneously uncomfortable and something one can relate to. That’s the appeal of a lot of Kanye’s older music you don’t want to relate to some of the embarrassing things he says, but you still do. it’s a look at the uncomfortable thoughts and feelings that a lot of people have but never tell anyone else about out of embarrassment. This was especially interesting when Kanye first blew up in age where pop music was about being the coolest or most shocking Kanye wrote a lot of songs just talking about how he felt.

You can detect it in guys like Lupe Fiasco, but I honestly prefer him to Ye. You can also find it in guys like Drake and these dime-a-dozen fifteen-year-olds drooling on a trap beat thanks to "808's". Not something I'd be proud of. Obviously, this is all extremely relative. This is just my opinion, you're not required to take it too much to heart or too seriously.

"Ye olde" was only created later to lend a fake air of old-time charm. "Olde" was rarely used in early modern English as a spelling (as opposed to auld, ould, etc.) And "ye" for "the" was a misapplication of the use of the thorn to spell "þe". So "ye olde", supposed to be "the old" is pretty much anachronistic crap and "ye" for "you" has a much more extensive linguistic pedigree.
