I headed to the coast for an overnighter armed with homemade crab nets, in search of some spider crabs, lobsters and some coastal foraging. With the aid of an inflatable kayak, I was able to drop the nets out about 50m from the shore, checking them every 30-60min. The aim was to pull up the net while the creatures were feeding on the bait….sounds easy, huh?
Mike from TA OUTDOORS joined me for the afternoon and we did some fishing, more crab netting and some free diving (snorkeling).
I slept in a Bivvy which wasn't too bad as the night temperature was nice and mild.
Thanks for watching!

Awesome catch and cook, I never liked the "dead man's fingers" in the crab. Oh my, when you fell in the drink 🤭 Interesting about the lobster's claws. I loved seeing the night fishing. Fresh prawns, lobster, crab and squid are all very delicious. Great underwater footage too. ❤

Nice video, interesting pontoon boat, but think if you put a heavy plastic/vinyl tarp up and around the pontoons you could enclose them and make sort of a Conoe, then you could carry stuff and not drop it through the middle, and it would be temporary.

In MIke's video I saw some beautiful rounded stones and pebbles between quarters and fist sized. I'd pay good money for a small box of a couple of the fist sized stone and many of the smaller ones and some pea sized gravel and smaller sand. Would be great for an aquarium! Not seen any drift wood though on the beach.
