There are many small inputs that when packaged together improve how our government funds are spent. Note how the one chart showed that 50% of tax revenues come from income taxes- the working class. Yet the piece of the pie that was corporate taxes appeared to be 10-12%. What happened during the last Trump presidency to the corporate tax rate? Bottom line as a starting point is the need for a fairer tax code that leverages and maximizes revenue inputs equally across the board. Follow that with daylight shed on all government contracts to eliminate the abuse, waste and outright fraud that occurs.
@sn58063 күн бұрын
I hate to break this to you and this is going to be painful as this will obliterate your entire worldview, but you need to hear the truth. Working class people don't pay anywhere near 50% of tax revenue. The top 10% pay more than three quarters of income taxes. I fully understand your desire. You want a budget surplus to pay to fund all sorts of social engineering programs and foreign wars, but you want the rich to pay for it. Here's the reality of the situation. The rich are already paying almost all of the taxes. You could increases personal income taxes on the wealthy and probably increase revenue substantially before capital flight drove that revenue away, but corporate taxes are simply passed on to consumers. The wealthy are already paying for your quixotic desires and frankly, there's a limit to what they can afford. Most of the wealthy have their money tied up in stocks. They don't have hordes of gold or mountains of cash. If you forced them to sell off their businesses to pay for everything you wanted they'd have to let it go at an incredible discount because no one actually has that many dollars. If your goal is to transfer ownership of the American economy to the CCP then just say it, but if you actually want a stable future for our people perhaps you should consider giving up socialism.
@Joker225933 сағат бұрын
Actually, That income tax is the wealthy people paying out their ears. The 1% pays 99% of all income tax. We could have everyone else pay zero income tax and it wouldn't matter. Except that all that additional spending it would free up would grow the income of the wealthy, so the government would make more from their income tax.

All of those local projects earmarked for specific districts need to be funded by that district, not by stealing from taxpayers on a federal level to build yourself a $5 billion bullet train, and spending all of that money before laying a single stretch of train track? How about we shut down entire (unconstitutional 4th-branch) agencies that don't really serve any purpose other than to soak up US Taxpayer dollars? How about we stop giving foreign countries billions of dollars? How about we ban Congress from trading stocks, which will stop them from juicing the economy with US Taxpayer dollars in areas which they have all invested?

This money will all be printed. Treasuries will be purchased by financial institutions using fractional reserve lending to lend themselves the money to buy the debt, then when the bond payments come due, the bond payments will be paid for by even more debt, along with direct monetization by the Fed via QE. This is why banks are called 'too big to fail,' then 'saved' using printed money: without them there are no buyers large enough to buy all the U.S. debt we need to sell to fund the mess of our government. This is why inflation is running away. The official statistics are actively massaged because the markets depend on data to make decisions and if they could see the truth, we would be sunk as a country. The most dangerous thing anyone can do today is publish accurate data that reflects reality.
