Here's the problem with this woman, as is the problem with most of these people: it's not that there were regulations, it's that they were the WRONG regulations. None of these supposedly educated people ever take the time to think about whether it might be the very regulations they're pushing on everyone that is the problem. But how can you ever convince someone whose very career, whose very purpose for existing at this point, is the thing causing the problems that they seek a solution for?? No "solution" has ever come without trade-offs. That trade off, for regulations, is that it benefits existing business at the expense of the small, or yet to exist. And they hurt consumers in the long run for what consumers think is a win in the short term. The second problems is that these "new ideas" from these people who think you are too stupid to make wise decisions, is the that their new policies cause instability in the system. Businesses get used to one idiots new policies only to have to quickly adapt to the new idiot's policies. This makes people LESS likely to take risks because you never know what screwed up ideas these people are going to come up with next and how you will be punished for doing business. People are upset with the banking system and think punishing the banks is the answer, when banks are one of, if not THE most heavily regulated businesses in the country! The banks didn't bail out themselves. That was your politicians who stole your money and gave it to the banks. And then these political fools have the nerve to talk about regulating the banks?!?!?!?!?! It's about time we started regulating the God d@mned politicians and their lapdogs!
