Good stuff Ed, you get to do stuff that most of us dream about doing. I think a lot of blokes watch your videos because we imagine ourselves doing what you do. Most of us do not have the facilities (eg: work shed, tools, supplies and time) The bonus is watching your videos, not having to get our hands dirty.

@Lachlant1984 the Fujita brand is one of many printed on these generic AC units. cheap Plasma TV's like MagnaxoX, Soniq, and generic store-branded ones are the same deal. you order 10,000 units from the generic factory in China, and pay an additional $5 a unit to get your brand name printed on the front. The funny noises were being made by the sealing vane in the pump itself, it was bouncing or sticking or something like that,

@Lachlant1984 I didn;t want to pick it up simply because the thin copper lines may have been liable to rupture/crack and 800psi of air will cause fatal damage at such close range.

I've never heard of the Fujita brand before, it sounds Japanese, but I'm guessing it was made in China, possibly a cheap Fujitsu clone. What's the deal with the strange noise the compressor was making before it shorted out? What caused it to short out? Why can't you just carry the unit outside after all that pressure has built up inside it.
