Interestingly, you see the victim escape the Venus flytrap (with his eye intact), and it seems more realistic with the key placed beneath the eye and the player having to cut open the stitches and dig around with his fingers. Obviously, it's still painful but less scary and painful (I assume) than cutting out your own eye, as implied in Saw II (the movie).

It's really nice that you are looking into more Horror Games and don't stay at films. You REALLY should check out Cry of Fear, it's quite old by now but the story and the atmosphere are still breathtaking! Would love to see sth of that here ^^

I also think that one of the worst fates that can happen is in Alien Isolation, you need to dock at a huge space station but something goes wrong with the ship you got from. So you strand at the space station and in there everything seems really off with no employees and people and the few people in there try to kill you, and then there is this lethal extra terrestrial also on board which tries to kill everything with a heartbeat

Honestly Manhunt 2 has a pretty twisted set of two possible endings. Either the chip in your head fully overrides your mind and personality with that of the serial killer on it, basically deleting the main character who's name I forget and allowing the serial killer to live in his body, impersonating him to keep the secret and make sure nobody finds out, or honestly just as sad is that he has his memory wiped for the second time and is set up living under a new name with a fake family provided by the government - who I presume has also been brainwashed to some degree. Either way, who your character actually was before volunteering to test the chip is gone, replaced either by another person entirely, or a facsimile of how his life could have turned out if he didn't test his own creation on himself, surrounded by people who were very likely plucked from their own lives to become his sort of "compensation" and/or cover story, considering when the chip first malfunctioned, he killed his own family, so the government literally just gave him a new one.

I forgot all about this game, for the time it wasnt the best looking but it did look really good especially that intro with the rain dripping on the street under the lights and ripples, anyway in short i played this about 5 times as a kid, first time i realised it had nudity, nuff said lets just say i may not have saved shaun but i saved jason from blueballs, 2nd i tried to save shaun and failed again even knowing half the outcomes, the third time i was mad, i wanted to save shaun this time, in short i got a even worse ending, then i tried again and never finished again because i couldnt let him die again, TLDR - if you haven't played it you should try it even if you dont like walking simulators THIS game WAS the orignal walking sim apart from minecraft, good story and not much jank or glitches, the only issue is they kind of ruin the game for you one your second time DEPENDING on if you got certain endings or cutscenes that show the real villian of the game but for a blimd game i 100% recomend

Heavy Rain is such a great game... in concept. It's unfortunately full of a bunch of David Cage-isms like plot holes and some shoddy acting in parts, as well as some bad plot ideas. Had Cage just had someone by his side like as an editor or something telling himself some shit to change, it would've been actually phenomenal.
