Someone said the scheduling release is 2026, but even that sounds very unlikely just knowing AAA developing times. More likely a 2028 game, maybe 2027.

I'm glad Force had that one sentence about NMS' shallowness in the script, but general notion still seems to be that people are easily fooled by promises of huge scale and quantity - while quality severly suffers for it. NMS is wide as an ocean but deep as a puddle and LNF will likely be the same.

@@Lenariet Well, that's where I would disagree with you. I don't necessarily disagree with your view of NMS in your analogy. But I also think you are describing a certain iteration of the game, and not what it has evolved into and become. For the small company that Hello Games is, or was when this was their new project, it's pretty incredible to see how they have got to this point, and totally redeemed their work with how much they have put into NMS. I can't really point to other developers that have just worked their ass off to continue expanding and building upon their ambitious title, and updating it for free, adding more content for free... I mean, whatever your qualm is, you should be able to recognize that this development team completely delivered on what their goal was. Sure, it didn't launch that way, but to have stuck it out, and put their game first and foremost to delivering on their promises and expectations... I really believe LNF will be a true product of learning from the failures and faults of overpromising. From just the footage shown, it clearly is an expansion on the NMS engine and design. I expect good things from their more seasoned go around now that they have specifically dealt with the reaction they got. Have faith... and if you can't do that, play a different fucking game, yeah?

Sorry to say, but State of Decay 3 doesn't have a release date for now, not even a release window for 2025 (and looking at how full will be the Xbox pipeline I don't think we will see it releasing in next year). Same said for Gears E-Day, which presented just a teaser trailer in 2024. Highly doubt we will see it in 2025.
