I remember going on a pre retirement pension bla bla up in Scotland and seeing this huge ship and the QUEEN ELIZABETH 2 being built. I may be army through and through but it is always fantastic to see any British service men and women return home safe and sound. Enjoy your leave xx Thank you for your service

The UK armed forces haters have exercised their two finger or thumb typing skills yet again. She and her sister will prove their worth defending our nation and seas if a certain country ups the anti from threats to action.
@Dixy33 ай бұрын
I think all the armed force haters might become very worried if Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un and his 3,000 North Korean soldiers attack the Ukraine, possibly triggering World War III. Because these anti British Armed Forces personnel just might be conscripted into one of three branches of our Armed Forces. We are on the brink of the next World War, a war that might become a nuclear weapons war. This has all the hallmarks of a repeat of the Cuban missile crisis tensions. Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, and the three thousand North Korean soldiers are a threat to peace in Europe and Ukraine but also peace in Russia and North Korea. I hope I am wrong, but I feel the tensions in the halls of defence organisations.

Does a Pilot bring the ship into harbour?

Those two carriers are the biggest waste of money ever inflicted on the British tax payer!
@stevenbevis92903 ай бұрын
Ajax army vehicle program is similar money . Typhoon jet more money . Carriers save having air bases all around the world & are difficult to target because they can move . Could also be used for disaster relief/evacuation & provide a very visible indication of the UK"s resolve to uphold international law & ensure freedom of movement for trade !
@TrevorCrook-c1s3 ай бұрын
@@stevenbevis9290 easy to sink . Modern anti shipping missiles eg zircon and other can make short work of a carrier . Britain is a tiny military power these days . Why do they want to sail around the globe meddling in other countries affairs .? Those days are over It is in no countries interests to block trade Routes . And the UK breaks international law when it sees fit . No one elected them as the global police
@MakeWhatYouCan3 ай бұрын
@@stevenbevis9290 Ajax is probably the best thing to come out of the British military in the last 40 years. Those two carriers are non-nuclear, no cats/traps, can't fly any fixed wing aircraft except the F35-B so no awacs, minimal defensive systems and they have been plagued with problems. All they are is huge targets for an antiship missile! The F35-B has reduced payload, reduced range, increased cost, is significantly less capable than the actual carrier version (F35-C) and doesn't even need a carrier that size to fly! If non-nuclear and using the F35-B it would have been better to build four carriers half the size. In a real conflict these would be at the bottom of the ocean within hours!
