As of 04z, Chido has made its third and final landfall in Mozambique... Its the most powerful landfall on record in Mozambique since Kenneth, and joins with several majors in doing so, the last one before it was Gombe. Other majors with a similar intensity as Chido besides Kenneth was Leon-Eline and Favio...

Cyclones are assigned letters from A-Z and the country due to naming use that later to name it like chido, from letter C, the next is letter D. But but, most of the times we don't experience these storms the system just dies out in the ocean. Those systems are assigned letters also but we don't get to hear about them, we usually hear about those that have the highest probability of making a landfall. so just observe, the next cyclone or tropical storm will take letter D-Z and not A-C
We waiting for the rains for a long time in the whole of Southern Africa. Now comes the Cyclone😭😭😭😭😭. What hits Mozambique will affect Eastern Zimbabwe too. Our hearts are broken

Cyclone season in the southern hemisphere typically starts in November or December and lasts until April or May so this is normal for this time of year.

Are you in northern hemisphere. Mozambique is southern hemisphere. Maybe that's why you are thinking it's not the season as the opposite is experienced in North and South

Our season starts in November. You seem to have deviated a bit. Check your source again
