Yes, you get the *FORD* sound. An x-pipe helps on the exhaust. Only a few engines sound this good. Unlike, say, a Matra V12, these are far more obtainable.

Excellent break in driving, neither lugging nor over revving. Putting light loads and varying throttle settings to seat the rings and let all those microscopic imperfections wear in and mate up. This engine will not only last a long, long time but will also make full power over its entire life. Well done.😎

I have only built bolt on tuner cars, turboed 4cyl engine's and more then a few inline 6cyl turbo builds. One thing I love about V8s is they can sound fast and sound bad ass at idle or just cruising around! Can't wait to build an old carbureted big block one day.

the hillborne set up is great man! love it! i agree with a few of the other comments below. i have a f100 with a 557 that i can never get all the way open just because i haven't had the chance to run it at the track yet. can't imagine the throttle getting stuck and flying into someone, or a house ,or wadding it up into a wall. that would suck way worse than disappointing someone waiting for a sound check.

Obviously this is a break-in run...first, reving past 4 grand before putting a good few hundred miles on it is a bad idea. Your piston rings, valve springs, piston rod bearings, and roller rockers if you have them, as well as the block all need to be worn in a bit. Unless the machining and assembly is perfect down to a 1/10 millimeter and the block doesnt heat up almost at all (warping, the only solution would be a carbide plated tungsten/palladium/etc block) the engine is going to be fighting it's own imperfections unless it smooths them out itself in a steady environment. Ideally, you would run the engine at idle for an hour or so and steadily increase rpms to redline over a day or so non-stop. Unfortunately, if you arent an F1 race team this isnt feasible. That being said, this setup looks amazing and having a 302 Windsor, I cant imagine this went any farther than half throttle. Wonderful!

some if not most of the comments are something else.. Test Drive doesnt mean burnouts , redlines, powershifting non stop , top speed runs. .. dont know if that setup is tuned , or much of anything about the car.. i know after working on engines, transmissions, brakes , suspension , rear end build whatever thats more than just changing spark plugs or simple shit i do a test drive .. go around the block if no problems city streets if no problems hit the highway go back home check everything out then progress to getting on it . ... one thing though 572hp is a bit far fetched those cold damp streets would have me spinning the tires trying to get on it thats with less than 300hp
