My dad developed a brain issue when I turned 14. It went away when I turned 22. I wish I would have understood that I didn’t know it all and that he was teaching me, which he certainly was. I would give everything I own for one more day of working alongside him. Your son’s are fortunate for what they are learning from their dad. Well done!

Amen.. i speak to my mom n pop everyday, n man, they are the smartest n most hard working ppl i've ever met.. Both were put to work at 6yrs old in Mexico by their parents, n haven't stopped since.. My mom dropped out of skool in 6th grade, my pop in middle skool or high skool but both can count in their head better n faster than i can with a calculator..lol i pray Jesus returns way before one of them passes, God blessed me with two hard working parents, don't even want to imagine the pain of not having them anymore..

Thank you Clinton, I love how much time you invest with your sons. My Father did that with me 60 years ago as he tutored me in the correct way to use band saws, jointers, planers and routers. And to this day I still think about that as I look at my hands and smile as I wiggle all my fingers. I've worked alongside many shipwrights who were missing fingers because they learned the hard way. You're a damn fine Dad!

Unbelievable how those parts were packed, shipped, then dumped by the side of the road!! I love Summit Racing too - hopefully they'll coach the guy who loaded up your order so he does a better job next time. And the way it was all "delivered" was inexcusable.

Thats the 2 department issue. Service department says ,,we get complains about our parts damaged,, Financial says ,,less cost to pack. Tell them we need to protect the environment,, Financial wins. The driver needs to run double shifts to earn a living. But where i live( city of amsterdam) he has 10 delivery’s on the same miles as your’ s between 2 adresses. They do the same.

Fantastic work. And pretty good on the engine too. My dad and I did several things together and when I was 21, I met my wife. On the week that we were getting married, he had tests ran that he kept under his hat. A month later he told me that he had cancer. He allowed himself to be a test subject and lived another three years. Y’all need to do anything you can with each other awesome content.

There is a white cone your cam bearing tool kit. That is to slide over the shaft after the tool, small end toward the engine, and the cone is pushed into and held in the outer cam bearing hole to keep the shaft centered while you install a bearing. That way the bearing is installed square to the bore.

C&C Equipment.. Cool video. ALL of the rings should be checked and file fitted (or make bore bigger with hone) to the perspective bore they are going in. All of the rings are probably a little bit different in size as are the cylinder bores. Just because one ring fits doesn't mean all of them are within spec. ALWAYS fit the rings to the cylinder bore it is going in and don't mix them up. I have built engines where when I checked the gap in the cylinder I had to file fit some of the rings and some of the gaps were to big right out of the box. When that happens you have to buy more rings. Nothing you can do about a ring that the gap is to big except set it aside for the next engine and buy new ring/s. It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen.

An overhead hoist company needs to sponsor you and get you setup with a few. It was a real game changer as fast as making engine pulls/installs and material handling much faster when building trucks at my dad’s company. We designed and built all types of oilfield related semi trucks, rigs, pump trailers, generator trailers and so on. We utilized forklifts for everything for a few years before getting our 8 hoists.

Clint, a little tid bit for you. A very good buddy of mine works for Fed Ex..been a courier for 28 years. He’s told me personally, (because like yourself I had some complaints) that Fed Ex is trying to move away from the current service to a 100% sub-contract service. It’s less headaches for the company has a whole and puts the burden on the subcontractor. But the customer service has plummeted..trust when I say you’re not the only one frustrated. My buddy has told me to use UPS many times…

I miss working on cars with my dad. Wish I'd spend more time doing that with him instead of being a hard headed hot head that knew everything. I will always remember this when my dad asked me if he could drive 87 chevy silverado 4x4 1500. Just got the suspension and tires on it. Just got the motor in it. Chevy 350 punched out 30 over, deck shaved , heads shaved ported and polished, 4x4 offroad cam, roller rockers, edelbrok high rise rpm intake, holley 750cfm double pumper, full length 1¾ primaries and 3" duals with outlaw race bullet mufflers on it and out the back. He got in and he started it and his face lit up. Then he put it on gear and brake torqued it till you couldn't see him and lit up halfway down the street was 2 black 35x12.50x15 tire marks. I was pissed but when he came back around and I seen the smile on his face, I couldn't mad anymore. I miss my pops so if you can spend as much time as you can with him. Cause it's hard to talk to a memory 🙌😇✝️😇🙌 God bless and love your channel man.

Not just an issue in the USA with delivery drivers, also the same over here in the UK, as my wife and I have mobility issues and and aren't as fast or as able as we used to be, we have a large sign on our porch door that says, leave parcels in porch and then ring the door bell. You'd be surprised how many idiots just leave the parcel outside the porch and don't even ring the door bell! So Clinton, How long is Hunter going to be working for free to pay for his engine parts? . . . . . . 😆. Hunter has a good head on his shoulders, so I'm pretty sure he's not going to mind. He will also have a ton of awesome memories of working with his old mind and learning from him. I know how he feels when the two of you work together on a project. I went to work for my father two weeks after I graduated from high school, and we worked together for 36 years. He taught me most of what I know, and I will be forever grateful to him for it. Can't wait to see the high boy all put back together and cruising down the road. I know both of you are going to have a mile wide grin on your faces during the first trip when it's done. Truck is looking good Clinton and Hunter! That 460 will have the torque to get that heavy truck on the move. The fuel injection will be a nice addition to not have to fool with the tuning all the time and probably a little better fuel mileage to boot. Lord knows she'll be a thirsty one! I can't believe they didn't pack those heavy parts better than that. Usually, Summit is very good about packing things very well, so I'm surprised they dropped the ball on their end. I've never had a packing issue with Summit as I have bought everything from crate engines to sheet metal from them over the years. My FedEx guy is very good about making deliveries during regular hours that my shop is open, but if for some unusual reason he's running late, he calls me to see if I will take them after hours and where to put them, but that is a very rare need, so I like to treat this guy pretty good. That crap with piling them outside your gate would not fly with me. I know those guys put up with a lot of crap in their job, but that is unacceptable to dump that stuff off like that. UPS sucks in my part of the world, so I use FedEx for now. It used to be the opposite, but I think they're both going down a rat hole eventually. Anyhow, can't wait to hear that BBF fire up and go down the road!

Not a Fjord guy but that truck is looking extremely nice, while you have it broke down like that put a disc brake kit on the rear axle for much better braking Hunter will need it for that extra horsepower it will be making. Great job gentleman.
