The only guys that can hang with Clinton are @kt3406E, my favorite Oklahoma boy and Caterpillar afficianado, and western tractor repair, nobody else even comes close. Encyclopedia with feet is all I can suggest. I'm glad your boys aren't afraid to get stuck in and work, the learning process is priceless. Have a nice Friday night.

Hunter will never ever get such a great one on one experience teaching in the world as he has with Clint absolutely priceless and it's costing him absolutely nothing ZERO just great father and son time together and that makes it absolutely priceless and Hunter will be sharing his own life experience, skills and expertise and stories with his great grandkids, to Client and Hunter I tip my hat to the 2 of you. I wish I had a dad like Hunter has, my dad never ever actually allowed me to be near him when he was rebuild engines I was only given the cleaning jobs and that's it nothing more. Hunter take pride in everything that comes from your old man you will never ever get any better experience teaching anywhere else but exactly from your old man and the respect that is between the two of you are absolutely key in life and priceless too. ❤this channel.

51:13 Working on a customer's 01 Cherokee 4.0L, Engine rebuilt 1st step I come across says using special tool for front cover alignment. Same situation I lightly installed the front cover then put the balancer in to align the seal. Tightened all the bolts I could access (5 out of 7) and removed the balancer and tightened remained, then reinstalled. Maybe better than the special tool nobody has.

Great job Clint. Your son is getting the best training that anyone could ask for. After a second build, Hunter wIll be way ahead of any classroom mechanic training for diesel engines. Nothing surpasses Hands-on skills. My first job at 15 was pushing a broom in a Kenworth Shop. Within six months of helping the mechanics, I could build a 8V71, 238 with little to no help. The only thing I never achieved was running a rack. Your patience and knowledge level will bring out the best in Hunter’s abilities. I also understand CAT will stop building the CAT engines 12/31/23. Sad…Everyone is buying into this manmade climate change. Remember, Share, Subscribe and give a thumbs up.

When I was working at one mine I would venture into the truck shop to chat with the mechanics I had grown up with. We had 85 ton Wabco haulpaks with I believe 12 cylinder diesel engines. They did all in frame overhauls and one night I helped one younger guy with the torqueing of the heads. It was just about a full shift job to get the 4 heads all torgued down. The final run used a 4to1 multiplier to reach the final torque. I helped for an hour or so but I had electrical work to finish during my shift so I left before it was done. That was one tired young man leaning in over all the stuff in the way to run all those sequences. jack

C&C Equipment +: Another superb & quite descriptive video! _Hunter_ , and you, did a *very good job* of presentation. At least, good enough to cover the reman/rebuild pieces/parts in sufficient detail to keep things decidedly away from boring! And... Dad, you did a stupendous/father's job of guiding your son thru the areas in which he wasn't absolutely sure - that is, 'til you, Dad, hit the injector install. Caught just the _hint_ of Hunter shaking his head during that sequence! In all, cannot wait to see this engine rebuild complete. W/ Hunter on this one concerning "will it start?" Hunter sez "it _better_ !" You tell it, Hunter! 👊👊👊 As is consistently the case, videos of this caliber _always_ get the standard _YT_ 'thumbs-up' recognition, while also earning the coveted *_Ol' Curmudgeon_* three 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 for excellence in channel videography. Most other channels really have a very difficult time keeping up w/ you fellows! That said, keep 'em comin', guys! They are sincerely enjoyed! 👏👏👏
